Re: Buffalo game flexed to prime time

If their still undefeated, count on that Pittsburgh game to be in primetime.

If the limit of 6 primetime games is still in effect this year, then that won't be possible. Anyways the Indy-Baltimore game is that night, no way they flex out that one either.

Re: Buffalo game flexed to prime time

Aren't the next three Pats games flex time games? All moved up to 5:15 and 5:30.....they may change the Philly game so they don't have to show two consecutive Patriot weeks....then Baltimore.

Re: Buffalo game flexed to prime time

Maybe I'm in the minority but I hate this. Number one for selfish reasons--I just like the feeling of 1:00 on Sunday, football time. But I think it can also slightly mess with a team, mess with their timing. Although I guess that last point is sort of moot, since they'll probably be on in primetime constantly now.

My initial reaction was "Looks like the NFL wants to make it as tough as possible for the Pats to go 16-0". No matter who the opponent, night games on the road are naturally tougher - the crowd gets louder, the home team is pumped up, plus it throws the Pats off their routine for the next game. Also factor in that we're coming off a bye and there will be some rust to shake off. The Bills will be a confident bunch at 5-4 (Miami? please) and will play a "spirited" game.

Obviously the league is hoping that the viewing public is unfamiliar with the fact that the Bills are our *****es and we routinely beat them by double-digits in their own house.

Re: Buffalo game flexed to prime time

NFL Sunday ticket has been a big waste of money this year. Only the first two games of the season weren't televised in my area.

Re: Buffalo game flexed to prime time

Good. Sunday Night Football has been a joke this year. How many times do they have to show us NFC East teams? That's all it has been!

You still get to see any game you want. I think ticket would be worth it even if I got all the Dolphins games in my area.

You mean the Dolphins have played a game this year?;)

Re: Buffalo game flexed to prime time

Meanwhile, here in North Carolina only two of the first 10 games will not have been on local TV or ESPN. Plus at least three of the last 6 games will also be prime time games! No need to go to a sports bar very much this year...

Re: Pats/Bills game moved to Sunday Night

Add me to the list of people who have no idea why the nations wants to see Pats-BILLS!

Me thinks something is rotten in Gotham City. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Re: Pats/Bills game moved to Sunday Night

I'm guessing they moved it cause the Bills have been better then first thought and it is a potential divison clinching game for the Pats

Re: next game moved to NBC Sunday Night

Anyone here who understands the ins and outs of flex scheduling, and who knows if there's a good chance that the Pats will pretty much be playing the rest of the season in primetime?

If playing Buffalo is primetime-worthy, I don't see how any of their other games aren't (though I realize it's not that simple).

Re: next game moved to NBC Sunday Night

I'm sure we will if we keep winning. We have the next 3 games scheduled for primetime due to this flex schedule (meaning the Buf game. We were already scheduled for primetime on the 25th and we have the Monday night on Dec. 3rd). I'd be sure to bet that each week we're switched to sunday night if we keep winning. People will want to see us lose, so they'll televise the games, so that incase we do lose, it'll be on the national stage.

Re: next game moved to NBC Sunday Night

Not completely. A team can only play 6 games a season in primetime, and with the move of the Bills game this makes 6 for us. (NFL Network games count towards this total, by the way.)

There's a chance the Eagles game in two weeks gets flexed out (probably for Vikings-Giants), which would put us back down to 5. The Pittsburgh game has been protected by CBS so it can't be flexed into primetime, which leaves the Jets and Dolphins games - and I can't see NBC wanting either of them.

Re: next game moved to NBC Sunday Night

wow, by what definition is NFL Network primetime? Isn't it unavailable to 70% of homes in the US?

Pats/Bills game moved to Sunday Night

With the start of flex scheduling, the Pats get an extra night game:

After waiting 13 years for a prime time home game, the Buffalo Bills only had to wait about six weeks for a second one. The National Football League announced today that the Bills' home game Nov. 18 with the currently unbeaten New England Patriots has been moved from Sunday afternoon to NBC's Sunday Night Football package.

It is scheduled to begin around 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Re: next game moved to NBC Sunday Night

Re: Pats/Bills game moved to Sunday Night

i actually hate this. makes this game even difficult for us playing the bills at night.

Re: next game moved to NBC Sunday Night

I guess in 2 weeks, we find out the Pats/Eagles game will be flexed out for the vikes and Giants game..

Re: Pats/Bills game moved to Sunday Night

Holy screwjob. My family bought tickets and their flights are leaving at 9:30 PM!!
