Re: Audiogate hits mainstream media- Yahoo!

Am I the only one who thinks the piss-poor/paid-off officiating is much more serious than the "fake crowd noise" issue?

Sorry for adding another post, but I don't think most people would see this if I added it to another thread.

Jonathan Kraft officially brought up the allegation.

Some highlights:

The article indicates the sound was not just from the TV broadcast, as the Krafts noticed it and were at the game, as well as other "observers."

Hilarious twist of irony, as the article states Polian has been vehement about the pass interference rules. Polian has also whined about the Patriots use of replay challenges. Huh?

The owners suites at the dome are enclosed. They would have had the audio from the broadcast to hear inside the suite.

The most interesting aspect of this article is, Kraft confronted NFL security immediatly after this game. Did Kraft hear the audio from the booth tv, or live?

See above.

Re: Audiogate hits mainstream media- Yahoo!

Thank God we won this game because if we didn't all these allegations would look like sour grapes right now.

They showed at least one shot of the Krafts during the game and I could have sworn there was no glass between them and the camera. Can anyone confirm or refute this?

Re: Audiogate hits mainstream media- Yahoo!

The most encouraging thing about this, if it's being accurately reported, is that the Krafts were all over right after the game while the NFL security guy was still there.

I've kind of been assuming that it was some kind of technology glitch that we heard on tv, but if it was observable at the stadium too, and what we heard on tv is merely additional evidence rather than the only evidence, it would really be too good to be true.

This is great that the NFL is taking it seriously. Let's see what happens.
.

It's time to see if Goodell is consistent with his hammer, or if he's just a spineless pawn controlled by Polian and his gang.

Did this thread get merged with others? Where is it located now after being moved?

Re: Audiogate hits mainstream media- Yahoo!

Im curious as to why all the threads about this issue are being "moved". It appears the mod in charge today either is a moron, or doesn't realize the gravity of this issue.

I tend to agree Omega. It's just that if it IS true the sanctimonious Indy front office will be knocked down a peg or two. Oh the irony...

I'm convinced it will lead nowhere, though.

Unless BB, diabolically, tapped into the Indy sound system and did this himself...;)

Re: Audiogate hits mainstream media- Yahoo!

i agree...if this catches fire, the media will only spread it...

also, why ARE these threads being moved??? who exactly is the mod on this site?

Re: Audiogate hits mainstream media- Yahoo!

This, it seems, is a whole bunch of nothing. CBS is now taking blame for the sound glitch.

Re: Audiogate hits mainstream media- Yahoo!

stop moving the damn threads.
this topic is important and isn't over with.

Re: MSNBC and Yahoo Now Reporting on Noisegate

This could get interesting because if the Colts are guilty this is worse than taping signals. The videotapes weren’t being used “in game” so it wasn't an advantage used to win that particular game whereas, piping in crowd noise (and possibly messing with the communications systems) during a game is designed to help the other team win that game.

On the other hand, it will all likely come to not. The media's not interested in making the Colts the bad guy.

Nor is the NFL commissioner. I predict that this entire issue will get quietly waffled away with absolutely no repercussions to the Colts.

Sounds like Kraft is turning into a whiney (feel in the blank)

kind of makes them sound like liars now don't it considering nobody could have heard it at the game..

For those predicting the media will leave the story alone because it's the colts, there is no way. They will jump on this thing like crazy if it gets legs. No doubt about it.

For the time being, I'm content to wait for the facts to come in. In the meantime, though, the parallels to cameragate are pretty astounding. This would be so funny if true.

Funny thing is now, Kraft looks like an idiot for bringing it up because unless Kraft heard it on the tv in his suite, because there is no way he heard it over the PA...

It was no worse officiating than what the Colts got in Gillette in January of 2004. That made even me cringe. Those were muggings well past the five yard buffer. Seems to me most Patriots fans called that "whining" by the Colts.

To me bad officiating is the luck of the draw, but pumping up the sound is a bit on the diabolical side. Especially for a saint after he took Bill to task a couple of times with the holy routine.

They used to pump up the sound at Shaeffer too. I only heard it a few times, but there was something weird going on there.

No, you look like an idiot for continuing to troll here and stir up trouble after YOUR TEAM LOST.
