I expected tons of threads here when I got home tonight with ecstatic Patriots fans basking in the glow of a very hard fought win. I did expect some well deserved complaining about the refs, but wow! Look at all the threads, you would think that the Pats lost! Your team just beat the closest competition that the league has to offer in their house, with bad calls on top of that. It's time to rejoice!

There seem to be many fans happy, but many others so angry in a win.

Then I figured it out.

OK, admit it, how many of you bet against the spread?

How many bet the over?

Hope to see you all in January!

I think what you're really hearing is the frustration of PI calls in the last few big close games. It started in Denver two years ago, then there was the non-PI call of Hayden on Caldwell last year, then tonight's game. The Colts are good, and the benefiicial PI calls they've been getting the last couple years after Polian whined is a big threat to New England. Tonight was just a regular season game, we're more worried with this happening in the playoffs.

:) Have to admit it, it is awfully grumpy here given a 9-0 team! FWIW, though, I was jumping up and down ecstatically for much of the 4th quarter.

i think we are sick of the league and now the refs trying to f us over.

Dude, this frick'n board has been bogged down for about 3 hours now. You could hardly post. There were a ton of very excited fans. The dern thing just broke.

Tomorrow, many very happy fans will be able to post without the delays and what not. ;)

Any true fan wants the players on the field to determine the outcome of the game. For the record, I was against the late holding call on the Colts also.

i agree with that...it was so bad

It has nothin' to do with the spread and everything to do with NFL credibility. Hopefully by tomorrow I wouldn't be so pissed, but try watching those calls as a neutral and maybe you will understand why so many of us on this site are still not enjoying this victory. I have never seen so many bad calls and anyway, why would you use an inexperienced ref for a game like this? This is more than sour grapes; I would be happy to never see John Perry ref another game I have to watch again. Plus please do not take it as a slight to Indy, I thought they played a hell of a game and to most of the Colts visitors, who have been way more classy than many other of our guests.

He's gone rogue on us!!!

Totally agree man. I want them to be like ex-communicated or something bad. Send them to siberia! :) Give them nothing but rotten horse flesh to eat. Something.

I have no good reason to believe that being the better team will be enough to win when these teams play again in January. That makes me a little grumpy.

I am pissed because the refs gave the Colts the ball at the Pats 5 twice with BS calls. Then they backed them up 10 yards with the crap call against Moss and there were numerous non calls against the Colts.

We are pissed because we saw how close the refs came to gift wrapping this game to the Colts and its only because our defense held the Colts to field goals in those 2 situations and because the Pats did not give up that they won.

We spent 3 hours imagining how livid we were going to be over this loss and the fact that we managed to pull it out in the end makes us feel like the Pats said Eff U to the refs and the league. But the outrage is still there.

They tried to rob us today and thats not easy to forget.

Quote of the night for me!

I actually think that it has a lot of merit.

No grumpiness from me. We're undefeated - and may stay that way. The AFC playoffs VERY likely go through Gillette; and, oh, by the way, as of now our first round pick is #4 overall.

Ha ha ha.

I'm taking chocolate eclairs and brownies in to work to celebrate; I'll make Patriots fans out of these Californians yet; even if I have to bribe them with food :D

Its like if someone tries to steal your car and you catch them and beat their ass.

You are still pissed that they tried LOL

u r right 2 wins in 1 game let's celebrate!
