Brady and Welker jaw at ref in second-to-last kneeldown

The Samuel interference call was weak. The Hobbs call was criminal. The non calls on Faulk and Moss were reprehensible and the call on Moss makes you wonder if the ref who called it was on the level.

.

Best quote I've read yet on trying to explain just how bad the calls were today.

BS guys!! Ref's did a GREAT job. They did NOT, I repeat, did NOT throw the flag against us when Brady went against them after a frigging kneeldown! That by itself shows that they are not anti-Pats. And you guys think otherwise?? You need to get your head examined.

No wink, so it seems like you're actually serious here.

You are full of baloney. They didn't make a call against the Pats at kneeldown because it would have meant _nothing_ to the outcome, it would have just been a timewaster for everyone.

Check out any of the impartial online live blogs from the game. EVERY live blog I've seen so far, calls out the (long) PI calls as BS calls.

yeah it started on the moorehead "catch" there were two guys right there like 10 feet away and they both called it a catch, something is not right

Even some Colts fans on indystar forum thought those PI's were ********* calls.

:bricks:

146 yards vs. 25? Are you kidding? That was the biggest penalty difference I've ever seen agains the Pats. Offensive Interference? On top of that, the penalties that the Colts did get were only when we didn't need them anyway!

I can't believe they didn't call Moss for 'impersonating Superman' on that 1 handed, Brady-saving catch.

LOL

Is this the biggest FU game for winning despite all the BS calls?

all the bad calls aside, the 1 holding call against them was HUGE for us, without it we lose. Not to mention that was pretty stout D to hold them to 6 after the two PI calls.

I have seen lots of bad calls in games before, but that is the first NFL game I have ever watched that I said out loud, boy it looks like the fix is in. Kind of sad that the NFL would resort to that, but I guess not surprising.

I was never an expert, but I swear to God I no longer have any idea what pass interference is.

I saw something different here.

I think Brady was mad because the Colts were trying to get in and hit Brady even though it was clear the game was over and he was taking a knee down. Let's see tomorrow what he has to say about it.

And yes, the refs were bad, really bad. All I kept thinking about was the Steelers SB win. Another sham. Seattle probably would have won that game if the refs did their job. A disgrace. Both games.

But we came back and won. And everyone is saying the game was not important. Well, it was to me. Just the look on Mannings face will keep a smile on my face for at least two weeks. Sweet.

That holding call was way overdue. The Colts OL is brutal when it comes to holding. That particular one, the OL was grabbing, holding the neck area of the shoulder pads and even tried a leg sweep. It looked like a Judo match.

The divisional playoff game in Denver a couple years ago, with the ridiculous pass interference calls from an entire field away, was my first "fix is in" moment. The second was Super Bowl XL, where no one can deny that the game was fixed so the Steelers would win (if you try, you're a moron). This game is the third, without a doubt.

TheNFL absolutey has to do something about the outrageous PI calls.
At the minimum they need to make an egregious PI awarded at the spot and a incidental PI at five yards and FD. PI in the endzone shoulld be awarded a FD at the five rather than the one yard line, which is an autoamtic 7 point penalty.

Right now the game is totally shaded to Offense and random calls by the refs.

omg, GREAT quote, i hope u dont mind if i use it....

also, on that first catch, my litle 7 yr old sis knew it was out, and the two guys called it in? yea, i started cussing the refs out at that point, and u know wut? i still havnt stoped cussing em out, they did a piss poor job of it

if this happens again in the AFC champ game, im gonna set up Goodell to be run out of the NFL, forever

I was on my feet so many times yelling for the refs to "Call it!! Call it!!!" (Offensive holding) all day today.

But I will give the Colt OL credit. They hold/tackle at the LOS all the time but do it in a very discreet way. We should teach our guys how to do it.

Also there were numerous no calls like all the holding the Colts were doing and the none call on Rodney when the receiver tackled him when he was running down the feild with his arms in the air

Don't forget the AFCCG the Steelers won against Colts in spite of every effort the refs could muster. The tinfoil-hat-wearing part of me believes that game was rigged.

Ah, yes, that game. I had forgotten, but you're right, that was really bad too. So that makes this game number 4.

The frightening part is that I doubt they were complaining about the pair of blown calls that we saw when they were on the field (holding on Faulk, OPI on Moss). Those aren't enough to get them to blow their lids. Most likely it was calls we weren't witness to due to the television broadcast we were watching. The worst part about the officiating might not have been that they were ticky tack against us but that they were letting the Colts get away with murder on D.

From Florio:

Spinning back the TiVo -- Wes Welker used a little profanity right before the two-minute warning.

"You f--kin' suck!"

I have the final 7 minutes of the game on my DVR. I FFWD to that part, it looked like he was saying it to Kelvin Hayden on his way back to the huddle.
