49 Touchdown passes in a season...

Well let's wait a bit. One gent did mention that Manning tossed 49 TD's and had no Lombardi to show for it. If Brady tosses 60 and the Patriots don't win it all then that would be a complete waste.

This is a good resurrection of a thread. I'm surprised someone called this way back in march. Kudos.

(And yeah-- Aqua looks REALLY bad in retrospect hahahaha)

oh man What a season

This is a great time to revive the thread. Looks like everyone may be rethinking their words now. I love how someone said he wasnt going to toss 6 td's against Detroit. Nope just against another team.

But it still is still fairly early and anything can happen. I would rather Brady hit 48 and win a SB then hit 50 and fail to get the Lombardi.

individual records are never as impressive or important as the superbowl

49 TD's not possible without Moss, and this thread was asking if Tom could throw 49 with Stallworth and Welker, Moss puts a whole new spin on it, and he was added a month after this thread started.

still, there was a poster saying brady wasnt talented enough for the task...that guy defenetely ate his words...

This original poster was brilliant. I never thought I would ever see Brady unleashed like this, its amazing.

I'd like to see Brady have a 30-TD season before he retires, I'll admit.

You meant 30-td half season right? ;)

id like to see him not just break it, but crush it. throw like 58 tds

And most on this board would rather Brady hit 60 and win the SB. One has nothing to do with the other. If Pats get the #1 seed; Brady breaking the record won't have a negative impact on the team's ability to win the SB.

LOL
When I saw the title of this thread near the top of the forum & read the opening post I almost sent a quick reply saying "Where the hell have you been? People have been talking about this for weeks!". Decided I'd better see if anyone had already set him straight. Then I realized it was from March.

Good resurrect, even if it was pre-Moss as someone noted.

Of course everyone (well, most) would rather see another SB than a TD record but it's still fun hoping Brady shatters it. And this isn't an either/or situation anyway. :D

Shattered by Tom Brady anyone?

Thats right, I'm quoting myself from March.

Everyone laugh at how wrong everyone was! =)

I've always said that if they gave Brady *good* receivers he'd seldom have an incompletion. Colts fans, including my own son, poked fun at the idea, but I kept it up. I never thought it would happen. We were awful at evaluating WR talent, but got lucky with Branch. This is just an amazing season. I hope we're able to resign Moss as this is a great feeling.

Not to rain on your parade, but you started this thread before they got Moss. I'm not so sure the record would be in jeopardy w/o Moss.

I have to give you props, but amazingly I think even you underestimated how this season will turn out.
