I found this thread on Extremeskins and thought it was worth sharing. It's always good to get a perspective from fans of different teams, particularly knowledgeable fans like the Redskins fans.

The basis of the thread is an article about the Pats posted on the LA Times. I could have just posted a link to the article, but I found the discussion thread interesting.

Well from reading that thread they don't look too knowledgeable to me.

i really liked the article...not exactly sure if the forums responses had any value to them, other then the guy who posted it the rest seemed really just ticked off and pissed off and wanted revenge...usual dumb trolls

The first 2 pages are stupid responses, but then the knowledgable Skins fans come through. They really like Brady BTW.

Pretty funny thread, full of fans that don't get it.

Funniest is that Brady used to be called a system QB, that without BB's system he'd be nothing. Now Brady is a god, and BB is just along for the ride.

I don't care. Whatever. As long as we keep winning, other fans can make up cute phrases like Beli-cheat to soothe their jealosy, and to pretend they'd rather be mediocre without BB than SB winners with him. THere aren't manyNFL teams that wouldn't be better if they had BB, and although they disparage him now, they'd be instant defenders the day he became thier head coach.

The Redskins fans ARE for the most part, good fans. They have a huge loyal fanbase that has had to endure being fans while thier franchise is being held hostage by Dan Snyder.

They didn't create their thread for Pats fans consumption, it was posted for Redskins fans consumption, and as such I enjoyed their viewpoint of the patriots franchise.

I don't agree with much of what was posted, but still, considering how badly they were humbled recently by the Pats, it is interesting how much respect they have for Brady, especially in comparison to BB. It's hard to imagine they would hold Peyton Manning in higher regard.

Compare the comments here to what we heard from Chargers and Cowboys fans and players after their losses. At least the Redskins seem to understand that they got beat by a better team, and team that is worthy of emulation, rather than many of the Chargers and Cowboys who still don't seem to understand that they got whipped, and playing the game again wouldn't likely give a different result.

ok, so sum knowledgeable skins fans do come up...

Go check out the threads on GangGreen.com and you'll see that DCSkins troll over there badmouthing the Patriots and crying about the alleged running up of the score if you want to see a ridiculous Redskins fan. It's sad that every team seems to have such traveling trolls. It ruins the inter-forum interactions for everyone.
