on the dan patrick show was asked to pick the game. Obviously he didnt but did offer a slip of tongue nugget that there were plays to be made on the patriots defense. said its would be hard to move the ball for long drives on the colts d.Said everyone seems to pick the pats there seem to a lot of good matchups....FWIW

So there are no plays to be made on the Colts D? Man, that sucks, I was hoping we'd be able to score this weekend. Oh well, I guess we better prepare for a shutout

I like Simms and all and he knows more about football than I do, but I really do not think moving the ball will be very difficult for either team.

He's announcing the game. Anything he says has to be taken within that context.

Of course......... But I just see answer deflections more then nuggets.

I'm sure Indy will make some plays. If they don't then we would have to consider this to be the most over-hyped blowout of the century.

Fine, I'll take that. Usually I like the good theater of a close game, but for this one I'd rather just walk all over them and cause the crowd to exit early.

Dude Indy's defense is good. Real good. We're not hanging up 40 on them, I promise you that.

Long drives will be difficult, but not impossible. By the 4th quarter both defenses will be gassed and the scoring will increase. I wonder what the over / under for total punts will be 3? maybe 4?

Washington plays a similar defense to Indy but Washington is not as good. Brady will have to read the defense, take the underneath patterns, occasional deep passes and the offense will have to estanblish the run. I expect Brady to maintain his excellent season and surgically pick the defense apart.

They're 28th in 3rd down defense. The best offenses they've faced are Houston (without Andre Johnson in the line-up) and Denver. Sorry but I don't buy their defense as being 'real good.' I don't think they're bad but I don't think they're one of the better defenses in the league. 40 points is definitely not out of the question.

In fact I really don't see how they stop us. They can't bring Sanders up in the box or they'll get burned. So I think we'll run real well on them. And who's going to cover Welker?

Eh, maybe not. But last week's Redskins D was "better" than Indy's and we hung 50+ on them. Just something to consider.

We specialize and excel at long drives, just look at the stats. There style of D is not a detterrant for our O.

I realize people are high in Indy's D, but IMO it is very overrated. They beat NO, which was offensively inept for the 1st month of the season. They beat Carolina with Vinny. They beat Jacksonville with Quinton Gray coming off the bench to QB. They beat Houston without Andre Johnson, and featuring Kevin Wlater and Andre Davis at WR. They beat TB with all the RBs injured.

In comparison, the Pats have already played Dallas, SD, Cincinnati, teams with prolific offenses. The Pats D has already been tested, which will serve them well.

IMO this game won't be close. Barring an unforseen injury, the Pats will humiliate the Colts.

Uh, The Skins before they faced the Pats were averaging 14.67 points a game allowed against 5 teams that are in the top 15 for offense and we scored 52!!!

The Colts before facing the Pats are averaging 14.57 points a game allowed against 3 teams that are in the top 15 for offense......

Similarities, Trends, Expectations for things to come.........
