You are reaching, and spending too much energy trying to discredit the guy. WHO CARES?? Also, he went to BYU, they HAD to show dominance to get recognized and considered for a HIGHER PAYOUT Bowl game.

I agree that anybody who spends time on Steve Young is probably wasting it, because he's a major dork. But its pretty rich that you might defend THEIR running up of the score because money is involved. Too bad you don't have more sides to your mouth so you could talk out those too.

Someone explain to me why this post belongs in the Patriots forum?

f--- Steve Young and get this crap out of the main section.

Mods send this to the who gives a sh-t section of the website.

You saw the title, maybe you could just skip it if it bothers you so much

It don't belong in here no matter whether I open it or not - troll somewhere else

Has Steve Young ever coached, played or is he a member of a family member or a cousin of a cousin who has played for the Patriots? - NO

It's clear that the memory suddenly gets foggy when trying to remember all those blowouts of Bowling Green. What did he think those guys were - bowling pins for his cannon ball?

Gee, I never heard of such a thing as a blowout in sports. Unbelievable. The Patriots have created a monster.

I still remember the '87 Celtics' 30 point blowout of the Lakers in game one at the Garden. Can you imagine one great team beating its peer that badly? Yep, just watch on Sunday.

No. But he's a media member that has been very critical of the Patriots recently and it is perfectly on-topic to expose his hypocrisy on the very same issue for which he has criticized New England.

This thread is 100% on-topic and relevant to the Patriots, and furthermore the title of the thread pretty much tells you exactly what to expect contained herein.

Not sure what doesn't make sense to you about that. You disagree?? BYU historically and fielded good teams, but the mantra was, they didn't play anybody. So, they had to try to prove their worth by annihilating as many teams as they could. Recognition, respect, and a big payout. In the NFL, you really don't benefit from beating a team 52-7.

Isn't point differential a potential tie-breaker?

He has been making a lot of comments about how distasteful it is that the Patriots are running up the score, so its as relevant as any other thread on this topic. And by the way, I don't think I as qualify as a troll.

Maybe it has something to do with you being in PA, you jabber like an Eagles fan.

When is the last time that ever reared it's head??

In addition, I think it comes up at the very end, when all other breakers have been exhausted, although I am sure you know this.

I know Steve personally, I've spent time with him away from the football field and at his home.

1. He went to Brigham YOUNG because his great, great, great grandfather was Brigham Young....a little family pressure. Not to mention that many of you aren't recognizing that for years BYU had a fantastic football program and was NFL QB machine.

2. He is extremely intelligent and a real quality human being...and, ANYTHING but a dork, a very cool dude and I can tell you, that other NFL players not only like him but have a great amount of respect for him.

3. Seems to me that everyone is projecting your real underlying frustrations about your team cheating and your superbowls being invalid by getting angry at everyone else but the real crimininal...Your Coach, Stealichick.

4. There needs to be asterik next to all past Patriots SuperBowl wins. Without integrity, you have no game. Shame on Coach B.

BINGO BINGO

Stolen from a google search:
TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION
If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.

Two Clubs

Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
Strength of victory.
Strength of schedule.
Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best net points in common games.
Best net points in all games.
Best net touchdowns in all games.

Three or More Clubs
(Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated during any step, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of the two-club format).

Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games among the clubs).
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
