I took the recent ESPN poll and found the results interesting.
http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/polling?event_id=3232

1) Is Sunday's game between the Patriots and Colts a preview of the AFC Championship?

90.6% Yes
9.4% No

No surprise here. These teams are the best in the NFL.

2) Which team will you be rooting for on Sunday?

47.2% Patriots
44.7% Colts
8.1% Neither

It is pretty close, but the pats edge out.

3) Should the Colts be getting as much media attention as the Patriots this season?

55.1% Yes, both teams are undefeated and deserve the same amount of attention.
44.9% No, the Patriots dominance has been so complete they deserve more attention.

Fair is fair.

4) Will the winner of this game go undefeated the rest of the season?

45.5% No
39.7% Yes, but only if it's the Patriots
11.4% Yes, regradless of which team wins
3.3% Yes, but only if it's the Colts

Wow look at this. 39.7% to 3.3%. That is a huge spread.

5) The Patriots are averaging 41.4 points per game this season. How many points will New England score on Indianapolis' defense, which is only giving up 14.9 points per game?

42.8% 21-30
39.2% 31-40
9.7% 41+
7.2% 11-20
1.1% 0-10

The Pats are expected to put up a good amount of points.

6) How do you feel about New England's philosophy of continuing to score on opponents when the game is well in hand?

65.2% There is nothing wrong with it. If you don't want them to score, stop 'em.
34.8% It is classless. They are running up the score.

Majority Rules.

7) Which team has the edge at quarterback?

56.5% Patriots (Tom Brady)
43.5% Colts (Peyton Manning)

Majority Rules Again.

8) Which team has the edge at running back?

77.2% Colts (Joseph Addai)
22.8% Patriots (Laurence Maroney)

Fair enough. He earned it.

9) Which team has the edge at wide receiver?

75.4% Patriots (Randy Moss, Donte' Stallworth, and Wes Welker)
24.6% Colts (Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, and Anthony Gonzalez)

Did you ever think you would see the day???

10) Which team has the edge at tight end?

70.0% Colts (Dallas Clark)
30.0% Patriots (Ben Watson)

Agreed

11) Which player will have the biggest impact on the game?

34.9% Tom Brady
18.3% Peyton Manning
14.5% Randy Moss
9.7% Joseph Addai
9.5% Wes Welker
5.1% Dallas Clark
2.4% Reggie Wayne
1.7% Marvin Harrison
1.6% Laurence Maroney
1.2% Donte' Stallworth
0.7% Anthony Gonzalez

34.4% Colts by a small margin
33.9% Patriots by a large margin
28.0% Patriots by a small margin

Geez - you even have to borrow from New York on your smack. (Knicks vs Hicks - NBA playoffs). Do any of you have original ideas. You know, so you don't have to keep stealing NY stuff.

They stole my stuff via quantum temporal entanglement.
Never follow the NBA anymore.
Go shoot up some Al Quaeda and get off the net.

I'm a Hoosier - we don't have the net, not even here. Don't get confused now - that was sarcasm.

Better watch out you might get accused of yelling because you changed your text to red...I did the same thing in another thread and a Pats fan jumped down my throat saying I was yelling...I thought it was funny because I thought using all caps meant yelling...good post by the way I agree with most of the polls and results

Maybe ESPN will wise up and realize their readers (at least the ones who like to vote) aren't buying the BS their idiot commentators are shoveling?

I actually have been reading this site since close to the beginning. I do not claim to know it all or understand many posters. I do know one thing though. Many around here do not take kindly to trolling. I by no means am accusing you of such as I have no idea who you are. I will say that your user id creates a tension that automatically assumes your motives. If they are pure, it is a shame so many have ruinied your chance to contibute here. I cannot see a single poster on this board having an issue with the color I used because there was a reason to distinguish my words from the survey, and not stir the pot.

You know FE75, I think the voting fans hold the same opinion as the non-voting fans. I think the majority understands that the Pats have not done a single thing that hasn't been done previously.

At the same time, ESPN is no longer in the news reporting business. They are in the news creating business. There is a big difference.

I would agree. They just took a poll of the Chris Myers show on Fox Radio and the results were 55% Colts win 45% Pats win. One poll is about a relevant as the other.

I try to just talk football here is the thread, after you read my first post in this thread you will understand the need for me to change my text color otherwise it would have been pretty hard to see what he wrote and what I wrote..

Maybe that's because in addition to changing your color to red you also increased your font size to about 80 point. :bricks:

I thought the font size was the same, I really didn't think anybody would care, I figured people would touch on the actual football talk instead of being picky when it was obvious I wasn't yelling..

Vox populi, vox Dei
... they say.

Does this poll matter on Sunday?

99% No
1% Yes

*1% Margin of error

tsk tsk, selective memory now. You didnt just use red, you combined it with large font, contesting each entry of a list of Dungy high scoring games. ALL CAPS is shouting because it is larger that lower case, increasing font size is the same thing.

I dont want to belabor the point but you are coming on as a visitor and I think the majority of the message board contributors expect you to be courteous. I welcome your comments on football but asking you not to shout or yell is not jumping down your throat.
