Wow! This must be the worst Sim of the Pats/Colts game ever

Brady intercepted for a TD on the second play of the game? The Pats going down 14-0 and not scoring until there are 3 minutes left in the half? Indy scoring 10 points in the final three minutes of the first half? Gary Brackett intercepting Brady twice in the game when he has one interception in the season?

Where is any of this based in any form of reality. I thought Sims were supposed to be on likely scenarios in computer, but it has the Pats not scoring on their first drive all year, have them trailing longer in this game than all the time during the regular season combined, Brady matching his season totals in interceptions, and a realistic posibility that the Colts will score 10 points in 3 minutes before the half because Brady intercepted followed by the defense giving up a 29 yard draw play?

I have no problem with them picking the Colts because a SIM is a SIM, but I don't get how they can come out with some of these results.

Kenton Keith with a 56 yard run... right.

Well, sims are by definition random. Odd things happen in every game, so they should happen in a sim, too. I truly believe the Pats are the better team right now, but I'd expect the colds to win around 35-45% of the time in any good simulation (which is about the odds I give them in real life).

Yeah, but this SIM has about 5-10 odd things happening. I can see one or two happening in a real game.

It also has Vin kicking a 56 yard FG. Even in the dome that isn't happening.

The value of sims is running thousands of them. That's what they did. They randomly chose one with their average final score just for fun. It wasn't chosen as the best example, and does nothing to invalidate the process.

Of course, I think it's way off and that there's no way to run a simulation of this Pats team using traditional methods. I assume that their sims didn't result in NE winning any previous game by 17+ points, let alone all 8 of them. At some point you have to accept that there's simply something different going on this year.

I don't get why everyone here is discrediting the Colts so much. You know they are undefeated, they are defending Super Bowl champs and have beaten us the past three times. I swear, some people act like we are playing the Dolphins again.

LOL, I take about as much stock in this sim as I would in a prediction based off John Madden Football. It's just a video game.

The Colts are good this year, obviously, just not as good as the Pats.

To be fair, that would be an awesome game with us coming back down 24-7 with a last minute kick to force an overtime which lasts for 12 minutes. Much cooler than the 17 point victory I'm expecting.

Why are people bashing a sim? Ofcourse they aren't realistic on many occasions.

Yeah, and this is our second thread on the Sim... is a merge in order?

Damn fictional Bears, throwing 2 hypothetical deep touchdown passes late in the fourth quarter
