That sucks. We need him - any sign of trouble last week ? I don't remember anything.

Hopefully, it's just precautionary. It'd be tough to lose him for any period of time this week. He'll likely be matched up with Harrison, although I would prefer him on Reggie Wayne.

Samuel will jump Harrison's in cut and pick Peyton, Hobbs will not allow Wayne to get anything over 8-12 yards.

Word up is that his $500,000 game check didn't clear and he's waiting.

Seriously, sometimes BB gives a vet time off for sundry reasons, some slightly physical, some personal.

I don't think it is a big deal unless he misses subsequent days of practice. Just because he isn't at the media portion of practice doesn't even mean he is not practicing today. The media only watches the team stretch. Samuel could have had a meeting with one of the trainers for all we know.

We'll see when the injury report comes out, or we won't.

They must've given him the day off. It would be cool if they are working out a long-term deal and are telling him, "this deal be dependent on how well you play this week."

This is the last I saw anything written about him:
After Sunday's victory, cornerback Asante Samuel spoke to the media while clutching the ball from his second-quarter interception of Jason Campbell. The pick was his fourth of the season and 20th of his career, placing him 11th on the team's all-time list.

Weird that he was spotted in street clothes though. perhaps just not feeling well or some other short term thing.

Also, lost in all this was that Kyle Brady AND Ben Watson were at practice. THAT's very good news.

I dont think a vet gets a day off the week of the biggest game of the season with the bye week immiedately after

Also not at practice was wide receiver Troy Brown, whose PUP clock is ticking towards the three-week moment of reckoning when the Patriots must either activate him or place him on injured reserve.

No, it is ticking towards the three week window that they have to let him start practicing. John made it seem as if Brown needs to be activated next week, which is not true. He just needs to start practicing next week.

Oh No!!!!!!

Not the beginning of Colts Week Flu season again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My money is on "Team decision"

Didn't he have to come out for a couple of plays in both of the games the last two weeks with a minor injury? Hopefully just giving him a day off to heal up so he'll be at full speed on Sunday.

I hate reporting like that, by the way. So, you see him in the locker room and you'll try and find out what's up? I know the Pats are tight-lipped about injuries, but jeez.

".......and by the way, Mr. President, can you tell us where the CIA spies are located overseas?"
