Was just watching the Redskin game on NFL replay. I think we are going to have a big problem with Ellis Hobbs covering Wayne. He did a good job last year in the AFCCG, but Hobbs is certainly our weaker corner and every big play so far this year has been to his side...(not just the Washington game) Wayne is having a great year an I fear he will burn Hobbs all day. It seems as though Ellis plays ten yards back all the time, which I believe puts him at a disadvantage.

I am fully confident in Asante shutting down Harrison, but Hobbs worries me on Wayne. I think coach will game plan for Clark, but Hobbs may be out on an island...

Harrison is hurt... why not line up Hobbs against him and let Asante deal with Wayne?

Zont on Wayne, Hobbs/Gay on M. Harrison (still slightly hobbled) with some safety/nickel help, R. Harrison and AT on Clark. Then run blitz the crap out of Manning and see what happens. Thats what I would do. But who the hell am I?

How hurt is he? I know he sat out last game...but he will surely play.

Before we start worrying about the WRs, does anyone have an answer for Dallas Clark?

That S.O.B. is always tough against us and gets disrespected often because of the two guys outside of him.

Can Bruschi and Seau hang with Clark in the short middle of the field? - That appears to be my concern.

My impression was that one of the reasons to bring in AD was to take care of Clark.

I am fully confident that BB, the defensive genius, will figure out how to shut down the colts.

IIRC, Colvin did a reasonably good job covering Clark before he got injured in the AFCCG. Could be wrong though.

Harrison wasn't playing that good when he was healthy. The man is 35.
Wayne is definatly #1 guy there. Asante is a great match up against him.

Hobbs has had an average year so far but he's covered some of the best wrs in the game.

Clark is more their slot reciever than TE. Their rookie, Gonzales, looks reche like so Clark is doing his job. I tihnk Gay can handle Clark or Brushci underneath and harrison over the top.

Speaking of Bru. in the last few games he has been playing GREAT. It's old Bru the way he's slices to the ball carrier. It's awesome to see.

Hobbs is usually on the defense's right side and Wayne is usually on that side. I'm good with that, Samuel can single cover Harrison and Hobbs can get help on Wayne.

I'm still disappointed in him for taking a full two years to recover from his stroke. What a slacker.

Harrison will be back, but from what I understand, he will not be at 100% (hell, even 80% is bad enough), and it's my guess that AS will be on Wayne and Hobbs (with help) will be on Harrison. Rodney and AD take care of Clark.

Who gets JA coming out of the backfield? ...... Good question. It'll be like defending oursleves....... cept a we bit easier :rocker:

We're going to beat them by about 3 TD's. Plain and simple. There is nothing they can do about it. Does that make you feel better?

Amen Brother...I just re watched the Colts vs Panthers game. The Colts are going to be like the Cowboys match up. They will put up a little fight in the beginning but collapse in the end. Pats by at least 2 TDs.

i would like to see Samuel on Wayne and Gay on Harrison with Hobbs playing nickel this game. ( i can't believe i'm agreeing with nem about hobbs, but i don't want to risk it this game and i like Gay more)

I'm confident in Ellis Hobbs. I think he'll have some big plays on Sunday.

I would press and push around marvin harrison early to see if his knee is really healthy.

You put Ellis Hobbs on Marvin even with him at 80%, he's getting burnt all day

Wayne is better than Harrison at this point and I don't think its really debatable.
