There's a very good chance they won't have to. The Raiders/Texans game is far from a sellout. If it doesn't sell out in the next 43 hours, that blue area in CA will become red as well (at least the part within 75 miles of Oakland).

Yup. Cleveland is at home (on Fox...hosting an NFC team) at 4pm. NFL rules dictate that when a team is at home, there can be no competition on the other network.

BLACKOUT LATE BROWNS HOME GAME and will join the PAts/Colts game in progress

93% of the country gets this match up... now you know why CBS didn't want to play nice this year and give this up for the fourth straight time to SNF,MNF (or the Thursday opener for that matter which was in discussion).

The MUST CARRY OAK/HOU markets: Houston ,Beaumont/Port Arthur and
Bryan/College Station that is set in stone.

I am not sure what happens exacttly to the SF, OAK area markets if there isn't a sellout

San Francisco, Sacramento and Monterey will be switched if there's no sellout. That still leaves Fresno and a couple of smaller places - which I think, unfortunately, are also going to be set in stone.

The Raiders game is far from a sellout. The local affiliates by default list the game as being shown early in the week, but that can all change at 1pm this Thursday. That blue area will likely become red, so fear not.

Indy/Pats has been a prime time game for so long that this year the league rewarded CBS for missing out on such a prime matchup. CBS and the league set Sunday up so Indy/Pats would be the 2nd half of a double-header with only other game to broadcast: Houston at Oakland. They picked that matchup on purpose since it likely wouldn't result in a sellout (unlike, say, Denver at Oakland). The league also made sure that Fox only had one single-header game scheduled at 4pm: Seattle at Cleveland. If that game sells out, Cleveland will have the Pats/Colts blacked out since CBS can't carry a game in their market while Fox is showing a home game per NFL rules. If that game does not sell out, an earlier game will be shown on Fox in Cleveland and then Cleveland will get the Pats/Colts game as well.

In a nutshell: If Oakland and Cleveland don't sell out, everybody in the country except Houston will get the Pats/Colts game on CBS.
