ooooooooooo - the Cowboys and Redskins!

You asked who the pats offense has faced and then when somebody gives an answer about defences, both of whom ranked in the top 10 before the game, you just scoff at it?

who is beyond reaching? One of my points with the thread was that at least two of the Colt's players blatantly disregarding Dungy's requests not to speak to the media about the game and especially don't do it before Wednesday. But, it's no big deal. Just read half of the post and flame your own. Thanks guys. Makes me understand why so many other sports fans hate Boston fans. What would we see on this board if some of our Pat's disregarding BB's requests openly?

Nice obfuscation. Your original post was not about this fake indignation over the Colts players disobeying Dungy. And do you honestly think they did this without his permission? I'm pretty sure that people who just blindly trash players on other teams over absolutely nothing is why people hate certain fan bases. Wait nevermind, people prefer Boston fans who attack their players without reason, you're totally right sorry.

The Washington Redskins defense and secondary is far superior to the Colts. Meanwhile, what offense has the Colts defense faced this year?

One of my points with the thread...
And your other points? Ahh, complete BS! Besides, Dungy's been talking about the game already, too, so I'm sure they were on pretty solid ground. Fact is the Colts don't run the kind of tight ship that we do, a request not to talk to the media isn't what it would be in New England. Do you know if Dungy has any problem with it? Or are you just raking muck?

And I'm not attacking you, I'm attacking your point. I'm not going to pretend to agree with points I disagree with just because I happen to cheer for the same team.

Obfuscation huh? I'm wondering why I saw an edit at the end of your post. I wonder if you responded so quickly and emotionally that you misspelled the word or thought you used it incorrectly that you had to go back to you post and edit it. Pathetic. Fake indignation huh? What about Dungy openly stating on Sunday/Monday that he didn't want his players coming out and talking to the media about the game and in the same ESPN interview stated that he gave his boys the days off until Wednesday, to which Jackson and Bethea confirmed during the interview today. As far as other fan bases hating us, taking a lot around at the blogs and the sports writers they all think we're arrogant and have to be right on everything. Case in point your response posts to this thread.

They were on solid ground huh? Did you see the interview? They stated during the interview that they went behind Dungy's back and they reason ESPN got the interview is that they went to Jackson and Bethea personally on their days off and not through the Colt's organization and stated that if ESPN had gone through the Colt's they probably wouldn't be on TV. Do I know if Dungy has a problem? No, not exactly, but these actions of his players go against what he stated just one day earlier and if I made the statements he did and my players did this then I would have a problem.

Do I need to point out the hilarious irony of your first sentence? You attacked my accusation that you were obfuscating by....obfuscating. And by the way, I edited my post so that I could add on the last part once I realized how dumb it was that you were implying that people hate Boston fans because they are reasonable in defending warrant-less attacks on their teams' players. And arrogance is trashing everything non-Boston and then turning around and calling people who have the audacity to see the other side "arrogant." Look, your thread clearly blows, as is evidenced by everyone's response to it, so just let it go.

I think you might be reading too much into it. I thought they were ok actually. They didn't talk trash and said the Pats were good and that they didn't think it was possible to "fully stop" the Pats offense. I'm not sure that by their doing this interview it means they are not preparing or that there aren't Colts practicing today also. I don't think we should throw the baby out with the bathwater and hate on all of the Colts players like other fans do to the Pats.

I agree. Thanks for stepping up to speak out!:rocker:

I guess kind of like who has your offense faced?

Well, we did eek out a win against the #6 defense in the league. You know, the one with the "most physical" secondary that we all heard so much about, and the "only no.1 draft pick cornerback lineup"?

Are you guys going to be back after we blow you out too?

I'm just saying, "ColtinIraq." You should bet on the game if you're so confident. I'd bet on the Pats, would you bet on the Colts?

Exactly. Both the Redskins and Cowboys are better than any team the Colts faced. I'd  to if I were you.

You have five more days to post before leaving.

ps Are you really in Iraq? I don't know the answer, but the timing of your replies makes me wonder.

If you are in Iraq, thanks. If not, please stop trivializing and disrespecting our troops with your screen name.

Jacksonville and Tennessee could beat either of them.

It was hard to figure out which was more stupid - the whole post or this statement. WTH were you trying to ask? By the way, that suspect secondary ranks 1st in the the league.

For the sake of the Pats fans I'm glad you weren't interviewed.

I have to assume that since you're in Iraq, you're in the military. As a taxpayer, I request you get back to work and quit posting on internet message boards on my dime. Thanks and good luck ;)

I'm not on your dime sir. I'm on my dime. ;)

Can't we all get along ?

Feel and spread the love !

Personally I hope we kick their butts and CBS is smart enough to have a camera on Bill Polian so they catch his reactions. I don't know how this game is going to turn out, but if the Pats hand the Colts a beating, watching him will be more fun then watching the game ! If I worked in Indy, I'd fill his box with lots of vases and breakables.

Not at all, that isn't what I was getting at. If some Colts actually do something that warrants writing about, then go for it. But taking every ESPN interview that a couple of guys do as a chance to trash on the Colts organization is stupid, and undermines the credibility of the board in general.

Ok you can believe what you want about Jackson. The fact is though that the Colts have THE MOST physical pair of corners in the league. And obviously the Colts know what they are doing, since they are, well, 7-0 and the reigning World Champs!!!

Sounds like the Colts DB's are being praised for breaking the very rules their President complained about...

I'm pretty sure the matchup in question is the Pats Offense vs. the Colts defense.
The Pats offense has dominated two top defenses (Redskins allowed what, 17 PPG until this week?) and the Colts defense hasn't stopped one top offense. It doesn't matter which team would beat which because we are only talking our offense vs. your defense. Going by the facts, it is impossible to say the Patriots offense has done more against quality opponents than the Colts defense has done.

thats ironic...my nephew is there too..military intelligence...we get to hear from him by e-mail now and then but nowhere near as much as the time YOU spend on this board.

I only wish we had internet access back in '69 at Firebase Currahee....I could have named the thread "LIVE! From the A Shau valley!"

I disagree but appreciate all you're doing - posting included (freedom of speech and all that) - stay safe!
