Will anything happen after his disgusting comments about Brady yesterday? Will Tom or any of the Patriots respond? Will he be held accountable in any way?

I tell you what, if I'm Brady I wouldn't respond to any trash talk, gamesmanship, or critical articles.

But if some jerkoff started advocating intentionally injuring me, and possibly ending my career in the process, we'd be having a nice face-to-face talk without cameras.

Wilbon, whom I used to like, has lost his fool mind.

I say you have Kyle Brady approach him with regards to his comments...

Scare him straight!

i say we hire mike reiss to take wilbournes knee out.

Why would anyone respond to that crap. I like Wilbon, but come on man.

My guess is it will be swept under the rug and everyone else will pretend like it never happened.

Does anyone have a link to this? Did Wilbon say it or write it?

Bro... ya gotta chill. It is nothing more than a sports writer from the WASHINTON POST spouting crap.

He is entitled to his opinion even if wrong.

I didn't read what he said, but seeing it on PTI it didn't seem like that big a deal. He wasn't calling out the pats for running up the score so much as questioning why the redskins weren't going after him.

there's plenty of things to be outraged about in the world. I really don't feel this is one of them.

Calling for a play that could possibly end Tom Brady's career isn't a big deal?

Nope! He's certainly not entitled to urge players to use any means necessary to cause serious injury to an individual outside of regular football play.

Did you read what he said? He was very explicit -- he asked opposing players to ignore the whistle, accept whatever penalties are coming and try to injure Brady after the play is over so that he's carted off the field. That's not an "opinion," it's soliciting assault and battery. His employer should be demanding he should retract the statement and apologize. And yes, I'm serious.

If I were Brady, I'd pull a Beckett, and response to any "running up the score talk", I'd just say "I don't get paid to make those f*cking decisions."

Chill nothing.

How is he entitled, as a professional writer and "expert", to encourage players to injure Brady at any cost? There is freedom of speech but there is also a level of responsibility that comes with that freedom, especially when you have a platform to communicate with the public like Wilbon does. What he did was disgraceful.

LOL. That will never happen.

Soliciting assault and battery... hrm... never heard of that statute before.

Oh well, I really don't care what he says. There is a lot worse hate speech going on.

But he didn't say end his career. He said he'd hit him as hard as he could.

It's the difference between saying a pitcher should throw at a guys head and saying he should plunk a guy in the back to send him a message.

one's generally accepted the other absolutely is not. it's a fine line, but the line is there.

Hitting a QB after the play is over is accepted?

Again, he didn't say injure Brady at any cost. He said "hit him" at any cost, as in, even after he releases the ball (which would warrant a fine) in order to send a message. It's a contact sport. QBs get hit all the time. He didn't say take out his knee. He didn't say hit him in the head. He said hit him after the whistle. I don't want to see it happen, but that doesn't make it a big deal.

fwiw, I hope we hit peyton as hard as we can this weekend. doesn't mean i want his career ended.

Yeah the pitcher gives a walk. A football player takes a personal foul / fine.
