Well, I find it interesting how events have done a full 180 with the Pats/Colts rivalry.

Brady started out 6-0 against Manning and in '04 beat them in the AFCCG on the way to their SB win. The following season, the Colts headed into Gillette in early November and I'm sure most people looked at the '05 schedule and had penciled in a W next to that game given the Pat's success. I'm sure all of us were completely stunned when the Colts headed out with a 40-21 win.

Since then, they've handed us some tough losses and now after going 3-0, it's obvious that their fans and a lot of media have fallen into the same trap.....thinking that they "own" the Patriots.

So, now we have the Patriots headed to Indy in early November following a season in which the Colts beat the Pats in the AFCCG on the way to winning their SB.

A little bit of reverse history would seem to be lining up here, don't you think? ;)

We were better than the Colts up through 04, they were better than us in 05-06.
We no longer have guys like Duane Starks getting beat deep all day long like in 05, and we have elevated our offense dramatically from the WR issues we had in 06.
We deserved to own the Colts up through 2004, we were clearly better.
They deserved to own us in 05/06. (Although the AFCC game showed how slim the margin was. The only difference between the teams was they executed in the clutch (the #1 definition of better) that day)

IMO, the pendulum has swung back, and swung even further than it was in 03-04.

I fully expect us to win handily. And I also think the Colts have more losses coming. They are a very good football team, but I think they are much closer to 12-4 or 13-3 good than 15-1 or 16-0 good.

Everyone wanted manning to beat the pats then.
Everyone wants the colts to beats now.

That crap hasnt changed in 4 yrs.

<shudder> Duane Starks...now THAT would make a good Halloween costume. I tried to forget about him haha

One big difference was their D used to suck. Both of them are pretty stout now.

True story: I gagged a little bit when I read that name.
