Adrian Peterson and Kevin Walter for Edgerrin James and Jericho Cotchery.

I would get Edge and Cotchery.

Edge has been very consistent this year whil Peterson has cooled off lately and the Cardinals have an easy road compared to the Vikings.

lil' help anyone?

You are getting ripped. Adrian Peterson is a top 5 RB stud. And the WR you're getting is a scrub. Cotchery is not even a top 10 WR. Hell Walter might be better than Cotchery!
If you are downgrading runningbacks you better get back a top 10 WR in return.
Make him cough up more before you trade a stud like Peterson. How desperate is your WR situation? If you get Edge and TJ or something on that level it might be a fairer trade but I wouldn't trade Peterson except for a great deal.

I have TJ, Harrison, Roddy White and Kevin Walter. IMO, Cotchery is an upgrade from Walter. Edge is not a downgrade, AP will be a stud but he's on a terrible one-dimensional team that faces some tough rushung D's in the weeks ahead. Edge is having a good year and has an easy schedule ahead. The only difference between Edge and AP this year is one game where AP broke a few tackles. I'm really rushing to trade AP now while his value is so high because he will be a mediocre fantasy player the next few weeks I think.

Hmmm TJ and Harrison are rock solid obviously, however Cotchery as a throw in is just not worth it. The problem with Cotchery and the Jets offense is they just don't score TDs.
Try to get another GOOD WR and you'll have an invincible wideout trio. Look at the rosters of the other teams in your league and make some offers. AP might be hitting the 'rookie wall' but he is still very, very talented.
Shop around for a better deal before you pull the trigger on AP.

OK, you can go ahead and thank me now for convincing you not to dump off AP for Edge and a scrub wideout.

296 yards 3 TDs and new NFL single game rushing record.
...

You did KEEP Adrian Peterson, didn't you?

Would anyone give up Dwayne Bowe in exchange for David Patten?

you gotta love when fantasy football people insist a record-setting rookie RB is somehow "cooling off" 8 games into his career...

Depends on the person. They seem to be about equal, with Bowe having a slight edge as an up and coming rookie wideout. Bowe is more of a 2nd to 3rd tier receiver though he has had his share of good games. Hot receiver to ride right now is Lee Evans. Marques Colston also seems to have resurrected himself in New Orleans.
