-Welker 2007 looks an awful lot like Troy Brown 2001
-I said weeks ago we may have the best OL in the NFL. There is no may in that anymore
-I find it hilarious that grown men who get destroyed in a professional football game will find a microphone and decide to talk about how it wasn't fair that the other team didn't give up. Can you IMAGINE a Pat player saying that? (Well, first you have to imagine us getting behind...think back to early 2005) If Randall Godfrey played for BB and the best thing he could think of to say after getting beaten 52-7 was that the other team ran it up, he would be cut. What happened to accountability to play well and win the game?
-Maroney looks very good to me. I hope we continue to see him involved in the passing game....he looks scary in open space.
-I will say it now. The 2007 Patriots are half way (plus playoffs) to being the best team in NFL history.
-I have absolutely no worry stepping out and making the above statement prior to playing the Colts.
-If Mike Vrable isnt your favorite Patriot not named Tom Brady, I think you need to pay more attention to him.
-We probably would have scored 66 if Marcellus Rivers could catch.
-Kevin Faulk is a valuable contributor game in and game out. He looks better today than at any point in his career.
-Congrats to Brady for beating all 31 other teams.
-I think that we could have played 4 more quarters, then every time we got the ball we took a knee 3 times and punted, and the Redskins still would not have caught up.
-I LOVE the running up the score talk. Its stupid, misguided, and out of place, but it really separates the agenda-backed media from the real honest guys.
-I thought we would have been even better (a clear difference) with Watson or Dave Thomas catching passes from the TE position.
-On the other hand, McDaniel did a tremendous job yesterday of getting WRs into TE routes.
-Our offensive play design is more complex than it has ever been. There are things we have added to the playbook this year that we never did before, and almost absent until now, we use the slant route well.
-I know the seasons only half over, and this will sound arrogant, but watching these 8 games in a vaccuum, I'd have to say the question isnt whether we go 19-0, but whether any of the 19 will even be close. (And before anyone whines, I am saying based on those 8---and I think I am 100% correct---not that it cannot change)

That's what? Somewhere around 101 catches!

Remember the game in Cincinnati last year where Maroney ran wild? Watch out for part 2 on Sunday.

That statement elicits goosebumps man!

IMO the only way they stay in the game is if we turn the ball over multiple times.

Anybody ever seen three sacks all for forced fumbles by one player in a single game before?
-We probably would have scored 66 if Marcellus Rivers could catch.
Yeah--Anyone know Watson's status for Sunday? If he's a no go why not use Vrabel as the other pass catching TE?

My grandfather used to tell me "believe what your eyes are telling you." Well my eyes tell me this is actually a one team league right now. Eagerly awaiting confirmation of that on Sunday.

I keep reminding my kids every weekend to pay attention to what they're seeing with this team as it may just be an all time greatest run. How could anyone really dismiss the possibility based on what we've seen so far?

Excellent recap!!!

Thank you, I'll be going to sleep with a smile on my face this evening :)

Your sig pic is a work of sheer genius.

That was one of the most insane games an OLB ever had. How many OLBs score TDs to begin with? Three strips and three sacks and thirteen tackles don't lie.

Somebody buy that guy lunch. He earned it.

Great avatar.

To date, Vrabel is never brought up in Hall of Fame discussions. If he can contribute at this level for 5 more years, would his versatility get him a menthion?

Yes! The no-blitz, trust-our-secondary, stop-Randy-at-all-costs defense would normally cue an episode of the Ben Watson Show. Having no receiving threat at TE makes those 52 pts all the more remarkable. Here's to Welker and Faulk and the OC who put it all together.

Nope. Vrabel never even makes the Pro Bowl (though this year could change that). He's a terrific player, but realistically not one of the dominant forces of his era.

On the other hand, of all active players today he's one of the likeliest to find immortality through a storied coaching career.

Great thoughts. Some roofers killed my DirectTV satellite on the Friday before the Dolphins game. A friend of mine from work is a huge Dolphins fan so I went to the bar where him and a bunch of his Dolphin buddies hang out. During the game I never even cheered much at the Patriots scoring. They said I should go ahead and cheer they didn't care. I just told them I just sit in awe from week to week while I am watching this team. I have to keep pinching myself to believe what I am seeing right now.

Every Pats fan needs to enjoy this team and to forget about what other people are saying. Because no matter what everyone else says they would kill to have a team as good as this.
