what happened to all the talk about brady having benefited from the spygate stuff. How good he really is and whether it hurts his hall of fame considerations etc ? I think i heard some morons even discussing on ESPN about how could a 6th round pick become so good.No one seems to talk about it now. Week 2 everyone came out of the woodshed to doubt brady's abilities.

Well, yes. Brady will be tarnished along with BB for the Spygate fiasco. Will he make the HoF? I think the jury is out on that, but it certainly hurt his chances.

Belichick and Brady are both slam dunk first ballot HOF inductees TODAY. With several years yet to go in their illustrious careers.

Please describe cheating. It is a moralistic word. And because people keep using it, it adds connotations to the filming act that were not there.

All teams REPEAT ALL TEAMS try to steal signals. They ALL film the other bench - the only difference is that they do it from "acceptable" locations. Plus the signal information gained should be useless after halftime. (If the team changed wrist bands) And since the information was in the camera until halftime it should be "useless" for that game. (Which was the Patriots argument). Feeling is that BB used the film for measuring reaction time to Patriot formations.

The fines and penalties were not for "stealing" or "cheating" but for unauthorized location of a camera. It would be legal if it was in the stands or up in the coaches skyboxes.

What really bothers me is people who moralize it by calling it "cheating." That is gaining unfair advantage by subtrafuge. The information they were obtaining is open and in sight and gained by other means by ALL other teams.
Therefor no unfair advantage. Just a violation of where that information can be gained.

And for Moderators of a Pats fan site to pass on the word "cheating" and spygate (as in "spying" - how can you spy on the information in plain site?)
is in my opinion horrendous because by using those terms you are implicating more than is.

At the outset some questioned whether this would keep Bill from being a first ballot selection. That was just typical spur of the moment media hysteria. Be kinda tough to justify a no vote on inducting a guy with a handful and potentially two hands full of championship rings.

Brady played and was good at Michigan - but the coach was an idiot. He insisted on Hensen.

As far as Brady learning the NFL - that was coincidence. The quaterbacks coach with the Patriots died and instead of hiring a new coach - BB took it over. He tried to teach the QB from the viewpoint of the Defense. (Since he is the best Defensive coach ever) Bledsoe couldn't get it - but the third string rookie did.
Brady is the only QB ever coached up by BB. He thinks like a middle linebacker while playing on the Offense. He knows what they are going to do before they do it because he sees every play from the other side of the line of scrimage. Like a mirror. Because he was coached to think DEFENSE.
