lets keep it going. I want every team to talk about how classless after we beat them.

You know what i friggin hope to God the Pats come with it and throw the whole freaking game, no matter how much they are up. I was under the impression that it was better to go seal victories rather than just sitting on them.

In the Truth and Rumors article right under the Dolphin *****ing is an article about the 1972 Dolphins talking about how bad this team sucks--pretty funny.

Did these idiot fans and players hear/watch the titans- texans game? 28 points in the 4th quarter and the texans take the lead. Enough of the running the score up.

Who's Chris Liwienski?

Jason Taylor said exactly the opposite.

They'll be cheering for the Pats next week against Indy so they can crack open the champagne.

Liwinski would rather the Patriots stuck with Cassell. After all, it's classier for the opposition to assume you suck so bad you have absolutely no chance of making it a 2 score game. Instead, the Patriots actually felt threatened by the Phins in the second half. I suggest next time the Patriots trot out the cheerleaders after building a big lead, because then, you know, we'll be classy. Unless our cheerleaders throw a pass, that is.

What the heck is wrong with these people?
Is this a little league??

Look, I am born and raised in Europe, so I have no idea what the "normal" was back in the day . But I was allways under the impression that Americans liked big score games. After all that is why "soccer" is broing to watch right? Not enough points on the board?

Besides that , in what sport do athletes keep back, so their opponents can keep up and keep some dignity? No where!!!! A boxer will keep going for a quick knock out, a speed biker will try to get as far as he/she can from the group, a tennis player doesn't give up sets etc.

This whole thing is silly. Get as many points as you can I say .. even if someone does that against the patriots.. That's the game ..simple as that .

Whimps!!

Yes.

A short while ago I posted on another thread this very subject, asking if a stink had been raised following Miami's nuking of the Pats 52-0, on Nov. 12, 1972, which of course was during their undefeated run.

I've yet to get a reply on that from anyone, whether it be for the original question, or some sort of justification for it.

Hell, I'd even like a response from from Mr. Dolphin Coach himself, Don Shula, addressing this, given his recent comments about the Pats.

But I don't suppose anyone associated with that team, or the Fins of today, want to go near that. It's just de rigeur to load it all on the Pats these days.

Why does everyone all of a sudden think that one team owes it to another team to not crush them?

Let's say Miami had a 21 point lead in the fourth quarter, would anyone blame them for not bringing in their backup?

For cripes sake, the Pats only scored seven points in the second half, not exactly what I call pouring it on.

Didn't the Patriots take out their QB with 10 full minutes left in the game?

Didn't they only put him back in when it was clear that Cassel didn't have it? Was it really all that wise to go with Guts, considering that was an irrevocable decision?

Weren't the Pats down their top 2 RBs?

So, they were supposed to asume that a team that drove deep into NE territory on both of their second half drives would stop trying and NE could just run Heath Evans into the line three times, punt and be fine?

NE only passed because they didn't have anyone to run but Faulk, who isn't exactly a game closing bruiser. They only scored one TD after Miami showed some feistiness. Connect the dots people.

There is no need for any of us to have to rationalize or explain why the Patriots score so many points...it's because they can...there were too many years when they couldn't.

Winning games is about scoring points....the Pats want to make sure they win games, so they score a whole lotta points. Book it.

Apparently we should have come out after the half and started "taking a knee" on every snap.

We did manage to get an Eff-you TD in though, huh :rocker:

Did someone get their feelings hurt?

We're sooo sooorrrrry. We hope we didn't bruise your inner child.

Did we hurt your self esteem?

Mommy will make it better.

Maybe you can hug a cat....

F 'EM. POUR IT ON!!!!

NEVER FORGET THE OVER THE TOP PUNISHMENT IN THE NAME OF PARITY.

EVERYONE MUST PAY.

Sadly, it ain't 1972 anymore.

We now live in a politically correct, liberal nanny state. Men are no longer men. It's so crazy that in some organized children's sports they don't keep score any more so that "everyone can feel like a winner."

I weep for the future.
