"JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Good morning, America. Remember the Colts?

Right, the Indianapolis Colts. They're the ones with the gaudy diamond-and-blue-sapphire rings, the defending Super Bowl champions. If you ask them nicely, they'll even let you look at the Lombardi Trophy, just as long as you keep your grimy paws off it.
The Colts didn't just push around the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night, reasserting both physical and mental dominance over the perpetual AFC South wannabe's in a 29-7 beatdown, they also made a statement. And it was loud enough to be heard above the din being created by the Pats Bandwagon and the Tom Brady Hallelujah Chorus."

Kravitz.

Not a bit surprising... the guy has had Patriots Penis Envy since this rivalry began.

Yeah, Kravitz...Indy's resident Manning-Dungy ball washer. Colts fans chime into say he's actually not a homer and very critical of the Colts in 3....2...1.

Anyway, I can see where he's coming from. Everyone talks about us going unbeaten and yet Indy has also been very good, has us at home, a cupcake 2nd half schedule.

you know what really surprised me about that game most of all?

As big as Jacksonville is on the line of scrimage they are incredibly soft. they were pushed around by a much smaller LOS of the colts on both sides of the ball. It was really pathetic how they kept giving ground on every play this has to fall on the players yes but also the coaches for not getting these guys in the right mindset before a huge game. I am sorry but until one of the other teams out there shows up for big games the league is PATS and COLTS and a bunch of ****!3$

Man I really hope the Patriots blow the Dolts out. I want to see a 40 point half on those clowns. Dungy will stand there on the sideline with that blank look on his face then the next thing you know Polian will be lobbying the NFL for some sort of cap restrictions for certain players and certain teams. Sort of like the NBA where good veterans have to make a certain amount.

I wouldn't put anything past that idiot.

atleast we get excited when we beat the Cowboys or chargers.

they are way to excited about beating Jacksonvilles back up QB and way too eager to call the win a Domination win.

Don't they do copy editing in Indy? Why is there an apostrophe in wannabes? It's not a possesive noun.

No need to wait for a Colt homer. Kravitz legitimately has been the Indy Borges and only switched sides when it became fruitless not to.

The Colts are a very, very, good team, got to give them credit, no question.

That said, to call that game a "statement win" is a little much, don't you think? They beat the Jags and their second string QB, who was beyond brutal.

A statement game would be to maul the Chargers or the Cowboys, those are statement wins, not a win vs a flawed team, division rival or not.

Get real before you write crap like that.

I watched the game last night and can't understand why all the talking heads barely bring up the fact that the Jags lost there QB in the first quarter of the game last night.

It's like "the colts defense was so dominant in last nights game....bla, bla, bla.

Then in fine print at the bottom

* Jags had a high school QB playing

The Jags are as good as anyone the Patriots have played, except Dallas and San Diego, even with their backup QB in the game. The Jags are certainly a damn sight better than Miami who have a realistic shot at going 0-16.

The Titans are as good as Dallas or San Diego though and the Colts overall schedule is much harder than what the Pats have played so far which anyone but a Pats fan will admit. The Chargers seem to be playing better but they still are just what, 3-3? And the Cowboys play in the NFC and were almost beat by the Bills for crying out loud. They've played the weak Bears, Rams, the Giants before they got their act together, the Vikings, the Bills, and they got their asses handed to them by the Patriots, so I ain't exactly all that impressed by the Cowboys just yet. Their defense stinks.

The Colts went down to Jacksonville and absolutely beat the hell out of the Jags. You guys make a big deal out of the Pats putting 40 in the first half on the Dophins, who are God awful, but you criticize Colts fans for saying "we told you so" after the Jags game after all the crap you guys were talking? Go back and look through the threads here and see how many Pats fans were picking the Jags to win.

And I don't like Kravitz and he's not an Indy homer. Whoever said that doesn't know what he's talking about. He came in when Gannet bought the Star. The jerk picked the Jags to win that game, so save the homer stuff. Homers don't usually pick against the home team do they?

And you guys probably don't notice because you're too busy eating it up, but the way the national media has crowned the Pats the greatest team ever after they've whipped up on a bunch of creampuffs is annoying and undeserved. The Pats last won the Super Bowl in 2004, that's almost three seasons ago now. Until they win it again, don't go around saying your the best team, because you aren't, the Colts are.

The Pats are a great team, but so are the Colts. The Colts are undefeated. The Colts have beaten their opponents by a huge average too, and have played a much much tougher schedule so far than the Pats.

Go check out the ESPN power rankings, it's about time someone mentioned the Pats are playing horrible teams. The Pats opponents are a combined 17-28! The Colts opponents are 20-18. You can say the doesn't mean anything all you want, but the fact is it does. It's like in college, no way would a team that played a bunch of division 1AA teams be ranked number 1.

Granted...the Jags defense is WAY better than the Dolphins defense....but, I think the dolphins offense might be just as good as the Jags with Gray in the game. At least Lemon has played some NFL games before. I couldn't believe how bad he was...even without anyone pressuring him alot of the time.

There was absolutely no reason for the Colts to fear the pass in that game

It's funny. Every time someone mentions the fact Kravitz is a homer (he is) a Colts fan chimes in to say he isn't. And yet, every time I decide to go slumming and hit up Indy Star, he's always talking about how great Manning and Dungy are and how Polian is a genius. When is it that he bad mouths the Colts? I'm not seeing it.

Also, the idea that the Colts have played a tougher sched than the Pats is ludicrous. I wouldn't call the Pats slate tough (although there are some tough games yet to be played at NYG, at home vs. Pittsburgh, Baltimore on the road) but I certainly wouldn't call Indy's tough either.

To summize, you represent the typical Colts douchebag that has come around here the last six years. Some dumb cluck who thinks he knows it all, but really doesn't know **** from shinola. You proved that with your Tenn. is as good as Dallas bullroar.

Miami's offense is better that Jax with Garrard in the game.

Jax will be lucky to score 10 ppg if Gray is the QB from here on out. That was seriously some of the worst quarterbacking you will ever see. I am not using hyperbole, he was that bad.

:eek:

Did you watch that game? The guy was spraying passes all over the place. Simple slant patterns to open WRs 7 yards downfield were missed by 5 yards. Wide open WRs streaking down the field were underthrown by 10+ yards.

Any NFL team that allowed even 10 points to that team should be embarrassed. Get that crap outta hear. Gray was the black hole of offense.

In a nutshell, I'd have to say that the Colts are very good.
But, the win over the Jags was not all that impressive to me.
Not taking anything away from Indy, but the Jags did'nt look like much to me, I don't care what their record is, or what their stats are.
Who has Jax played? I don't know off-hand.
Jax did'nt look any better than Dallas from my couch, that's for sure.

Don't they do copy editing in Indy? Why is there an apostrophe in wannabes? It's not a possesive noun.

Just like the fine art of reporting, the noble (and necessary) endeavor of copy editing is fading from the scene, due largely to the fine efforts of our educational establishment, but also in large part affected by the vast influx into the field of those who "want to make a difference".

Apparently good grammar and spelling skills no longer fall under that rubric.

roscothunder, you honestly think the Titans are as good as San Diego or the Cowboys? What? They lost to the Buccaneers. They don't have a legitimate offense. And the Texans? Any team that loses to the Falcons this year ought to be sent to the Canadian Football League. The AFC South is supremely overrated. The Titans and Texans got off to strong starts and have been milking that reputation since then, despite playing poorly for long stretches. The Jags looked stronger than some others before the game, but any semblance of respectable football was lost when they brought in Grey.

It depends on what you mean by schedule. Teams with better records? Yes. But better teams? No. Indy has yet to face a team as good as Dallas or San Diego. By the end of the season, New England will have played Dallas, San Diego, Pittsburgh, Indy, the NYGiants and teams like Baltimore, Denver, Washington.

I agree, but the difference isn't as much as some would believe:

Dallas > Jags
Buffalo = Houston
SD = TN
Cleveland = Denver
Cincy < TB
Miami sucks

Basically, the difference is that TB is more better (like that :D ) than Cincy than Dallas is better than Jax and Indy has yet to face as bad of a team as Miami.

Again, the difference isn't as much as some would believe.
