Sorry if there was a thread on this already. I just wanted to mention that he had GREAT punts against Miami. I know it was only 3, but all three could have been inside the five yard line (2 were). He had great distance and hang time which allowed Andrews to field one at the 1 and almost happened again later, but unfortunately it bounced in the end zone. Also, he had that great corner punt which went out of bounds inside the five. Great game for Chris.

Major UPs for Chris! Good job. Keep it up.

I've been negative towards him but I'm being moved out of that camp. I still crings thinking of an important punt from the end zone but his kicks have been high and well placed and he seems to have just enough leg to not kill us with distance.

Not sold yet, check back with me i a few weeks or after he has to punt when it really means something.

Bah punts mean something every time. He has done a good job. Hope he keeps it up.

Remember, that's actually the second time Andrews did down a punt inside the 3-yard line; the only reason the first one ended up a touchback was b/c Andrews had ran out of bounds.

I'd prefer he never has to punt again.

I thought NEM was off his rocker when he insisted that you have to score on every possession or the offensive coordinator stinks.

However, this year's INSANE Pats offense has proven it may actually be possible.

So... In my best Yoda voice:

"Irrelevant the opponents 'D' is! There is no try! There is no punt! Only score or do not score."

Ah, I forgot we had a punter! :rocker:

Forget the punter. if we just went for it on every 4th down, we could open up a precious roster spot.

Or pull one from our PUP...:D

Yeah, Brady could punt. He's done it before. On 4th down lined up in shot gun he could study the field and depending on what he sees he could either run a play or punt it down field. LOL.

Welker can be our punter.

Yea, the first few weeks Chris didn't punt all that well, but the past two weeks he's had some really nice ones. Maybe he just needed to knock the rust off?

Isn't he one of a boy band of brothers? :D

Thankfully I forget we have a punter this year!!! I'm leaning toward the suggestion of using the spot for one of our PUP's too! Maybe Troy has been secretly practicing!
