Before this season, Tom Brady made himself into one of the best signal callers in the league, while throwing to guys considered mediocre. He had those intangible qualities, and by throwing to these guys everyweek, it kept his skills sharp and kept Brady on point.

Now he throws to guys that are the best in the league, and has been able to "relax" somewhat and come down a bit on his sharpness. He is able to make mistakes, and still look good. He can throw to a double covered reciever and still get the catch. He can underthrow his reciever and still get the catch. His recievers stretch the field, and help keep pressure off of him. Teams dont blitz as much to create pressure, because as soon as they leave Moss single covered, or take a guy off welker for a split second, brady hits the reciever and beats the blitz.

Brady is spoiled right now, and what if this team, isnt able to retain Moss, or what if moss gets hurt?

Is Brady going to be able to rediscover his ability to find the open man, to stay cool under pressure, to not take risks like throwing to a double covered reciever? Will Brady suffer a let down in the coming seasons? Or do you think he is just too good to fail?

Brady was a great QB before he got his Toys.

Manning has always had his toys.

Will Brady be able to go back to being a Great Qb if his toys ever break, or are taken away?

The worl might not be here tomorrow. Try to live in the moment of enjoying the greatest passing game the league has ever seen.

Re: Could all this success be a BAD THING????(deep question)

And if that fails, go wait in the corner for the Sox Rox series to start...

No, "all this success" cannot be "a bad thing." Next?

Re: Could all this success be a BAD THING????(deep question)

1. Yes, Brady will still be good.
2. I'm sure we're going to do everything we can to make sure that Brady always has his weapons.
3. It should still go without saying, but you have to take your shots at a Superbowl when you can. It doesn't pay to be 2nd out of 32 teams so you gotta take some risks.
4. There's a very good chance that we'll be contenders every year of Brady's career anyways or at least the next couple years.

Live in the moment, dude, and enjoy it for all it's worth. This is too special to tarnish with concerns about future "what-ifs" that might not ever happen.

I am Living in the moment. I want to win a superbowl this year and the next ten years. Living in the moment caused me to notice that when Brady was not in the game, and instead our backup QB's were in the game against the leagues worst team, with the leagues best receiving corps at their disposal, they collectively did nothing but suck.

So what if Brady's weapons get broken? What If Brady Gets broken..WTF is this team gonna do? Moss/Welker/Stallworth cant throw the ball to themselves, and Maroney aint gonna be able to run over everybody...

If you think im trolling or being pessemisitc....think CLASSIC BB

You're confusing humble with hysterical. Bill is never hysterical.

This year? Yeah, if Brady goes down, we're in for some harsh winters. That's why he's up for the MVP. It's a risk that every good team faces, but even if Brady goes out for the year we wouldn't be totally dead in the water. Cassel's probably got something going for him if he managed to beat out Vinny and others for the backup position. Even waiverwire material would still have success on this team.

If it happens in the offseason or any time before the trade deadline in the future, we pick up a QB if it makes sense.

Wow. Talk about a small sample-size. Good Lord.

Re: Could all this success be a BAD THING????(deep question)

No, this success is not a bad thing (pretty shallow answer)

Re: Could all this success be a BAD THING????(deep question)

Good points, but I say no, and here's why:

- with all these weapons, Brady's bar has been raised. He wants to get a perfect rating each game, which means on every play identifying the open receiver.

- teams are blitzing and trying all sorts of things to stop him now, so he has to be on his toes even more on every play because teams are trying to take him out.

Re: Could all this success be a BAD THING????(deep question)

The patriots offense gets to practice every day against a BB coached defense with tons of talent. Probably the best defense in the NFL. No one in the NFL could pose more problems than the patriots for Tom Brady and the offense. Now the defense also gets to practice against the best offense in the NFL, no other team will be able to pose a greater threat than the patriots offense with Tom Brady. Practices are harder than games, the patriots got it good, love it. Brady isn't going to lose any of his abilities by playing with good talent. He's still the same player, he is NOT relaxing and doing stupid things. The results are just that much better because of the great talent on the other end of the throw.

Just love it!

Being 7-0 and dominating opponents isn't good for any team. Pats would be better off 4-3.
