From today's print projo, some incredible stats from Shalize Manza Young, these are sick.. I know there are damned lies and statistics, but for now I will revel in this Offensive machine...

His 158.3 yesterday is the first perfect passer rating since the merge of the AFL-NFL
77-24 in the regular season
89-26 all games
43-16 on the road, including postseason
18-3 when throwing for over 300 yards
73-2 when leading after 3 quarters
45-1 when his passer rating is over 100
21-1 when completing over 70% of his passes

In the immortal words of Peter Boyle, Holy Crap... enjoy it folks.

Manning never had one? I don't doubt your stats, but it seems surprising.

I feel like I remember seeing Manning get one a # years back.

As Young correctly noted, Brady's was the first perfect post-merger PR by a Patriot QB.

Manning had a perfect passer rating against us too. :)

Speaking of which, I was watching 'Young Frankenstein' recently (haven't seen that movie in YEARS) and as I was watching Frankenstein's monster, I suddenly exclaimed...

"Holy Crap! That's Peter Boyle!"

I used to have a HUGE poster of that movie in my room as a kid. I wish I'da kept it!

I never knew exactly what it was, now I do

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passer_rating

A perfect passer rating therefore comprises:

~ a completion percentage of at least 77.5%
~ at least 12.5 yards per attempt
~ at least .11875 touchdowns per attempt, or at most 8.42 attempts per touchdown
~ zero interceptions

What is interesting in that list is Chad Pennington is the only QB with a perfect
number who lost the game (against Manning).

Such is the awesome power of Herm Edwards.

[Both teams were scoreless in the 4th Q. With 3:38 to play, down seven, and 4th and 7 at their own 43, the JEST punt.]

I assume you are talking about a game separate from the 158.3 game? The final in that one was 38-31. Funny, I don't remember that game by Mr. Pennington.
