well, not quite, but almost :)

Gotta talk about Stallworth. I was happy when we signed him, and then he had some injuries in camp, rumors about not picking up the playbook, etc.

He is, in my opinion, the best team player we have. Go look @ every passing TD we have, in most of them, the FIRST person there to congratulate whomever scored is Dante. The guy has mad run after the catch skills, I'd say more dangerous than Moss after the catch.

Pay him his roster bonus now.

All of them, locking him up till '12

Stallworth has exceeded my expectations. I knew he was fast but he is a heck of a wr and incredibly tough to being down. His lower body strength is incredible.

Did anyone hear the interview after the dallas game, he talked about the stiff arm. I swear he said he pressed 800...?

Have to keep both. Stallworth could have stayed in Philly. He was their Nr. 1 receiver. He knew what team/qb he wanted to play with. If we keep Moss, all 11 offensive starters are back next year. Stallworth is signed. Just have to pick up option. Only offensive players we will probably lose are J.Gaffney and K.Washington. Chad Jackson can replace K.Washington. Just have to pick up a JAG to replace Gaffney. I'm sure we can find some disconsolate receiver who wants to jump onboard Good Ship Lollipop

I've been a big fan of Dante for a long time. If anyone is interested, a lot of articles chronicle his NFL career. NO Times-Picayune is a good place to start, but there are Lafayette papers, etc. There are a lot of local articles that detail not only his tribulations, but his triumphs. While oft-known to outsiders as a misguided star-in-the making, he has shown a lot of good-natured and heart-felt proof of being a good and growing man.

I love Stallworth. I have never seen the man so determined. He is very dangerous after the catch. Moss and Stallworth make Welker's job that much easier.

Let's just say they all make each other's jobs a little easier.

If you're just giving him grief, then take a trip down memory lane. Dante isn't here just because he's fast and difficult to tackle.

PS: I'm not being confrontational. If you like the guy and have an aversion to folks who have a certain flavor of johnny-come-lately, the arc of Dante Stallworth may be interesting to you. Unfortunately, I'm running on memory of reading the articles at the time. I'm neither savvy to quoting articles nor do I have the gumption. If you do, there is some gold. Long story short: He's a kid who made good. Thought he had it made and realized otherwise. Trying to correct for those mistakes now. Good stuff.

Cryptic, I know. I'm trying to figure out the balance of Headline Vs. Substance on PatsFans.

I was about to mention the exact same same point. There was no Patriot more excited for his teammates after a score than Stallworth.
I caught the pregame warmups today and Stallworth was a fixture on the field ...and he throws the most perfect spiral I've ever seen. All in all, he seems to be loving this whole Patriots experience.

I don't know that I'd refer to Stallworth as the other woman. I wanted the Pats to sign him for the past two years.
