I am not an insider, so I have not read the whole article.
http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insi...olumns/story?columnist=horton_gary&id=3068624
But, there are two paragraphs, and this guy makes a comment that is interesting to me in that it seems quite wrong - one can only imagine where he goes with the rest of his "insider" thinking.
Anyway, he says, "The Cowboys had a lot of success last Sunday attacking New England between the tackles with a physical combination of backs Marion Barber and Julius Jones. They averaged 6.5 yards per rush, but they ran the ball only 15 times and most of those came in the first half."
So, I looked at the stats of the game and the Boys ran for like 99 yards on the night.
And, 67 or so of those yards came in the third quarter (like from 5 or 6 rushes)
Does this actually point to a problem with the pats? I think that there was a breakdown in that initial Cowboy drive to start the second half, and BB alluded to it in his presser, but that D is not weak between the tackles or soft at the LB position, which he implies elswhere.
He also says to blitz brady and play tight man.
Oh,
That is easy to do. Everyone has players who can play tight man, and has speed rushers who can get to the qb.
"Horton has solved the problem everybody. Just hit the darn qb, and we will win. Oh, and you little thin guys, get closer to moss and stalworth and welker, and Faulk, and Rivers, and....."
I guess that as long as we are dreaming Mr. Horton, why don't we just get a great oposing qb to score more than the pats and put pressure on them that way? Hey, maybe I could be an insider.
Question: If I am an insider, do I get a nice lease on a Mercedes? Or, like a really gread perdium check? Will everyone like me cause I am, like ya know, on the inside? (will I listen to Jethro Tull "inside" every day over and over?) Do insiders have special badges? (Horton looks like he has an offical badge.)Do they have ear transmitters that are connected to the double secret probation insiders? Hey yea, is there an insider, inside the insiders?
Wow.
My head hurts.
Course, I don't want to be a football outsider either.
That freak'n DVOKZ el-em-en-O-Pee scale/chart/evaluation tool makes neck hair stand on end.
