Once after going from Seoul to Tokyo I went non-stop from Tokyo to Logan. Worst flight of my life. Seeing Northwestern Canada from a window seat was cool though.

I tried, but the road ended. Seriously. I drove up the coast from Vancouver. The road ended. I stopped and asked people how I could find the road to continue north. They said, drive down there, park your car, and take a boat. LOL.

You picked the wrong time of the year to travel. If you did this trek in the winter you could have continued on courtesy of a snowmobile or dog sled.

Edited to add, I've flown non-stop Tokyo to JFK and loved it. Four movies, four meals - it was like a vacation. And the poster about driving Canada is correct - hop on a boat halfway up the coast.

It was miserable. En route from Seoul to Tokyo a family's pet dog died in baggage or wherever they put pets. All the way from Tokyo to NY, as soon as we'd be falling asleep, one of the family's kids would start crying again. Just to make it worse, I had to drive from Logan to Salisbury Beach making 4 stops to drop off band equipment. The Kon Tiki Lounge never looked so good!
