I know there have been lots of threads on comparing Tom to others but just out of curiosity I looked at the careers of several notable QBs and was very surprised by their pedestrian numbers. I think a lot of people think that this is the first time Brady has really put up numbers. But upon further review....

TD INTs
Tom Brady 168 80
Troy Aikman 165 141
Drew Bledsoe 244 198
Joe Namath 173 220
John Elway 300 226
Archie Manning 125 173
Bart Starr 167 138
Johnny Unitas 290 253
Joe Montana 273 139
Peyton Manning 275 139
Brett Favre 423 279
Dan Marino 420 252

I picked these stats to show Bradys 2 to 1 td/int ratio and how it stacks up to some other well known qbs. I know Brady takes a lot of slack for having one bad int game a year, but this kinda puts it into perspective. We are very lucky to have such a mistake free qb. ps look at "broadway" joe...tee hee

Can you edit in Manning (Peyton) and Favruh?

I've always believed Brady to be the best.

This really is a telling stat.

Looks like Brady, PManning, and Montana are the best. Makes sense to me!

I bet at the end of this year Brady is in the vincinity of 200-83.

Just thought I'd add this:

Dan Marino 420 252

PM's INT's even just a few short years ago, were a bit high(ok, A LOT HIGH), but he has really improved those numbers the last 5 seasons, 10,10,10,9 (and currently) 2.

Broadway Joe Namath is simply a NYC media phenomenon. He wore panty hose in a TV ad and guaranteed an upset. There's no statistical way to explain it.

career completion rate: 50.1

MANY INTs than TDs (BEST season: 18-15)

many more losses than wins

65.5 career QB rating (highest ever = 74)

Yes, I know the 5 yard chuck rule was not in existence at the time, but these stats make John Kitna a HoFer. Or more contemporary to Namath, Billy Kilmer.
