These cowboys are ridiculous. I can't believe that they are thumping their chest over a three touchdown loss. They had a lead for about 30 seconds so now they think they can hang with the Patriot. Here is the reality. I can't exactly remember the results of the individual drives, but here I go anyway. If Moss hits the ground and hold on to the ball on his tiptoe catch in the endzone, that is another touchdown. If the refs don't call what was what I consider the worst offensive pass interference call ever on Moss, that is another touchdown. If the cowboys don't get a LUCKY bounce off of a fumble into the arms of a waiting D-lineman for a touchdown, then you can probably take that one of the boards. All that being said, the cowboys would have been staring at close to a six touchdown loss. I know that ifs are generally for losers, but I want to put the game in perspective for the cowboys. I will take a three touchdown win any week, but I just want the cowboys to know how close they were from being completely embarrassed. By the way. To Mr. Crayton. The Patriots defense coasted and still held you to only two touchdowns. The Pats defense did blitz nearly as much as they usually do. If they had, Romo would have been carried out in a body bag.

Okay, I'll play.

How about the flea flicker? If Brady leads Moss a bit more to the outside, it's a 63 yard TD and a 21-3 game. Then the next play - strip sack fumble returned for a TD - never happens.

By the way, Randy Moss had a very strange game. He finished with 6 catches for 59 yards and 1 TD. So Dallas took him out of the game, right?

But - it's not too hard to envision Randy with 3 or 4 TDs and 150 -200 yards receiving. Brady misfired on potential 74 (fake reverse) and 63 (flea flicker) yard TD passes. Then there's the near great catch (43 yards) and the unnecessary pass interference (19 yards).

If the refs call holding when Barber is running in the end zone.

Let's be fair here.. the LT didn't "hold" Rodney, he body slammed him by his jersey.

;)

I see Dallas blaming it on the penaties.

But some penalties are just mistakes, like bad judgment, jumping offside.

Others like repeated holding come when you are outgunned -- you hold the guy because you can't stop him.

Nice video.

Seriously though, this had to be the singular worst non-call of all time:

At 00:16, Adams starts holding directly in front of the ball carrier. By 00:19, he realizes that he has broken the offensive holding rule so egregiously, he might as well take it to historic, even biblical, proportions.

Rodney may not have had his best game, but he definitely showed up on a couple of plays. He helped blow this one up despite having 340 lbs. of humanity trying to rip his equipment off. Jarvis moved the TE back 5 yds into the path of the RB. Vince ripped through a double-team like it wasn't there. Too bad Warren or Seau couldn't finish the play off since it was a thing of beauty otherwise.
