I don't know why they felt the need to Photoshop the Welker image. They made his look like some kind of raging lunatic. If I didn't know any better I'd say that they superimposed his face on someone else's body. They didn't, but that's how badly they manipulated the original.

Pretty sure, that's how Welker looks. If they did photoshop anything, it would have been captioned as a photo illustration. If it was photoshopped and not captioned as being an illustration, the photog would be in some trouble.

There's a lot you can do with Photoshop that's considered within acceptable limits of manipulation. Practically every photo you see on news sites is cleaned up before it's published. In this photo, the photo editor over sharpened the Welker image, and adjusted the lighting across his face to make it stand out. By doing so, they made him look cartoonish and fake.

There's a lot you can do with Photoshop that's considered within acceptable limits of manipulation. Practically every photo you see on news sites is cleaned up before it's published. ( but not break the bank) will seriously consider NE....especially after this year and that crop........
