Morris and Watson out two weeks?

Their legs hurt.

If we worked out Barlow I think Morris is out for more than 2 weeks but the fact that he may not being going on the IR is encouraging.

That seems to indicate Reiss was right about Watson being out 2 weeks and Morris for much longer. I'd hate to see Sammy IR'd, but they gotta move on if that's what they're dealt.

Where and when did Reiss say he believes Morris and Watson are out for two weeks?

EDIT: OK, it's now apparent he didn't say it.

This is what he said from the link I provided a few posts up :

"Watson injured his left ankle and my sense is that he is going to be out for at least the next two games. I also think Morris, who was reported to have injured his chest (it looked like ribs), is probably going to be out longer than that."

I love how Reiss uses the word "sense." Just what the hell does that mean. Is there any evidence to back this up, or is this just Reiss' intuition at work here? Not buying what he's selling here quite yet.

Actually, he did say it:

Watson injured his left ankle and my sense is that he is going to be out for at least the next two games. I also think Morris, who was reported to have injured his chest (it looked like ribs), is probably going to be out longer than that.

Reiss is rarely wrong on these issues. His "sense" going into last weeks games included:

* Koppen would play.

* AD would play, but not as many plays as he had been prior.

* Maroney would miss another game.

All three nailed.

I'm sure he's "day-to-day"

Yeah, Reiss doesn't sell anything. In this case, with no real facts, I'm glad to have his thoughts on the subject.

His sense is a lot better than "proof" that some want. There is no such thing, other than a player being out because he is on IR, or is not evidenced by the fact that he actually played.

I guess it depends how you define "say it" :D

Strictly speaking you are correct. However saying "out two weeks" reads to me as "out exactly two weeks". Reading what he says makes it sound like, as we guessed, Morris could be out a lot longer than two weeks so do say he said "he's out two weeks" is true but misleading.

Reiss didn't say that. He said his sense is that Morris would "probably be out longer than [two weeks]". He never said much longer. Sheesh, I can see how wild rumors get started.

Its called a guess.. Its called HIS OPINION. Damn.. Why do you have to be so friggin critical when you damn well should know that we won't hear ANYTHING out of the Patriots staff..

Didn't Belichick praise Barlow highly before? Maybe Barlow was just a victim of some really bad teams but behind the patriots o-line he'll be good? :)

Crap. Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap.

Maroney, where are you.....

I loike Reiss a lot, but honestly, predicting Maroney will miss another game is like predicting it's gonna be sunny in South Florida!

Is there any player whom BB hasn't praised? I think BB always speaks highly of all players in public, regardless of whether he has just cut them or if he just signed them or if they are next week's opponents or played 100 years ago.
