Looking at Miami's Roster, could anyone start for us?

Chambers might not start but he'd get a lot of playing time. Brown's a no-brainer. Taylor would start and anyone suggesting otherwise is going a little overboard with this- he was DPOY last year despite playing on crappy ass Miami. Thomas has really looked bad this year but I think we'd at least give him a shot. And after that, maybe Vernon Carey?

Keep in mind, Vrabel said himself that he thought maybe 10 members of the 2001 team could make this year's team (an exaggeration, but still). The Dolphins are not nearly as good as our 2001 team.

1.) Chambers will get time by taking plays away from whom?

2.) Who do you think Taylor is going to start over?

Taylor would be an OLB in our defense. Last year, I would say he would be able to start on our defense over TBC at OLB. With his decline in production this year, I don't know if I would take him over Colvin or Vrabel.

I don't think there is a single player other than Ronnie Brown who would have a chance to start for the Pats at this time. I guess I would take their punter over ours.

Are you guys high? Jason Taylor would be maybe the third-best player on the entire Patriots team, after Brady and Moss. Maybe fourth after Seymour. You're talking about the reigning defensive player of the year. He'd replace Colvin for sure on our defense.

Taylor = Defensive end.

Taylor < Warren and Seymour in the Patriots style of 3-4 defense

I don't see how. He's not better than Moss or Stallworth, and can't play the slot. He doesn't get open or catch the ball better than Gaffney. Actually, Chambers doesn't catch the ball better than any WR in the NFL. No way Belichick tolerates his drops. Kelly Washington hasn't gotten a catch yet, and I'm not sure Chambers is any better. Let's not let fantasy football cloud our eyes as to who's a valuable football player and who's not. Frankly I'd rather have Marty Booker's presence or Derek Hagan's upside.

I'd take Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas for the front 7 rotation. Vernon Carey as a depth lineman. Swap punters, sure. Fat Ass Traylor could still back up Wilfork. And I do like the upsides of Matt Roth and Channing Crowder over guys like Eric Alexander. That's about it.

Stallworth and Welker. Christ, I know everybody but us sucks but Chambers would be a consistent 1200 yard guy in our offense even as a secondary receiver.

Stallworth is a vastly superior player to Chambers, who is among the most overrated receivers in the NFL. Chambers would likely only see the snaps that Gaffney is currently seeing, and wouldn't see anything approaching 1000 yards, never mind 1200. As for Welker, just no. Re-think their respective styles. Chambers would not be taking time away from Welker.

Taylor is a defensive end. He's not a 3-4 linebacker. While he might be able to fit into a Willie McGinest 'elephant' role, that would need to be seen. As for Colvin, he's a far better player than most people here give him credit for.

The only thing I'd trade with the Dolphins for is their cheerleaders. Best in the league IMO

Really remarkable to think about. I'd take Ronnie Brown and John Taylor for sure, but that's about it.

So how about the Jets and Bills? Here are the depth charts:

http://www.nfl.com/teams/buffalobills/depthchart?team=BUF

The Jets have players that I think would fit here no problem like Mangold, Rhodes, Cotchery (who I really wanted us to draft), Dyson, Revis...but in most cases we have somebody in that spot who's either equal or better than what the Jets have.

The Bills Whitner and Lynch I'd take and McGee as a returner. While I like others such as Kelsay or Shoebal they don't fit our system but they are nice players.

That's it exactly. Plenty of nice players, but who would start? I probably couldn't say no to Rhodes & Whitner at safety. OL is tough...Mangold's terrific, but so is Koppen. Jason Peters, anyone?

I would take Lee Evans in a heartbeat. I think he'd be dynamite with a quarterback of Brady's caliber. I might put him ahead of Stallworth. At the very least, he'd make it on the roster as a backup.

Taylor played outside linebacker last year in Nick Saban's defense, which is very similar to ours. And, again, he won the defensive player of the year award in that role. He's normally a 270-pound DE, but he has enough speed to cover and play on his feet. Am I missing something here? Jason Taylor is one of the best players in the league. And you people want to keep Rosey Colvin in front of him? I suppose Zach Thomas would be backing up Larry Izzo.

Taylor is a defensive end. As I noted, it's possible that Taylor might be able to play the McGinest type of LB for this team. However, he's a year older, is clearly struggling, and would not likely beat out the underrated Colvin this season in my opinion. Your smartass comment about Thomas aside, the notion that Taylor would be a guaranteed starter on this Patriots team is simply not one that I agree with.

chambers shoudlnt even be a WR, he shoudl be a TE...

but we already have a better TE named watson...

Jason Peters, anyone?

I thought of Peters when I wrote my reply but a co-woker disturbed the thought process, LOL. :D

Good bag he could fit here.
