Crayton - "Defensively, they are not the real deal."

In fairness to Dallas, a large contributor to Dallas' season lows was the fact that NE's offense was so good. Turn two of NE's TD drives into punts and Dallas has more opportunities to generate yards and points.

Even if Crayton is a jackass, I don't necessarily disagree that NE's defense looked a little vulnerable. But I just think that Dallas presented some matchup issues with their size that most other offenses, including Indy's, don't present.

Dallas had two long scoring drives - one at the end of the first half and one at the beginning of the second quarter. Otherwise, the Cowboys accomplished little on offense. Once Dallas took the lead in the third quarter, the NE defense dropped the hammer, including holding the Cowboys to 3 after the long kick return.

That wasn't the best game the Pats defense has ever played. They had some poor tackling, some communication issues early in the game in the secondary and didn't control the LOS as well as usual against a very big Dallas OL.

That said, Crayton is a tool. He should realize that if he does play the Pats again, they will probably be playing a completely different defensive scheme. Belichick never does the same thing twice, and they always are greatly improved later in the year as opposed to early on.

And two of Dallas' drives were stopped after getting first downs by unnecessary penalties.

Let those weak fools talk all the trash they want, It just makes us more unstoppable. It just goes to prove that whenever teams lose, thier first instinct is to blame the other team. Although i cannot stand Peyton Manning, I have to give him props that whenever he loses, he only blames other players on his own team.

"Us" ?
Are you a player or a coach?

And weren't the three points they did get during the 27-3 run off a nice defensive hold after the botched KO return?

EDIT: Sorry, Zeus. I missed that you already wrote that.

Like the one where Bruschi was swallowed up by an OL, CREATING the hole to get that first down?

In fairness to Crayton, he plays for the Cowboys. That means he has first hand experience of not being the real deal.

And whenever the Pats lose, You can bet BB is up there saying how we were beaten by a better team. How many other coaches do that?

US as in all of US - Players, coaches, owners, ugh even writers and FANS.

If you don't think it's an "us" and a "we" thing then you were there when the snow flew up into the air a few years back after the Tedy B pick and you sure were not there when WE fans picked up OUR coach this year after he had been run through the ringer all week by the world.

I could go on and on, but I think you get my point - if there was not an us then there would not be any of them.

Here are the Cowboys' first three drives. Where exactly are these penalties that set back their offense?

Crayton is a loud mouth idiot. He should just shut up. At least TO is a good player. Crayton is talks a lot of crap for being a so-so WR.

IMHO, Bruschi does not stop Barber.

It was during that run where they had the two drives that I am speaking of.

BTW, there is no need to be defensive. NE won that game handily. I am just pointing out where they appeared to be vulnerable. Pointing out that they outscored them 27-3 does not and will not change my opinion.

See my above post. I never said it was on the first three drives.

I am not responding to you. I am responding to Crayton's idiocy.

I think that ******** Crayton needs to attend the BB school of Sportsmanship and teamwork. Couldnt hurt

In fairness to Crayton, he plays for the Cowboys. That means he has first hand experience of not being the real deal.

Beat me to it!!:p Doesn't it follow that if he believes our D isn't the real deal, then given the score, his O is less than the real deal?????

IMHO, Bruschi does not stop Barber.

It's not a dumb argument to make that Bruschi wouldn't have stopped him. However you never really know what would have happened if Bruschi wasn't swallowed up like that. Which is why the penalties exist ya know.

I don't mean to sound defensive. Just trying to add some perspective as well. We are by no means perfect and have a lot of work to do. TE's and the middle of the field are a recurring "issue" albeit not a huge one so far. The redzone defense could also use some improvement. We do get Seymour back soon hopefully and NE always plays better later in the year as well. BB strives for perfection, perfection is impossible to attain, therefore there is always something to work on, forever. :)

We are still the "real deal" though :rocker:

Unbelievable. Crayton is a moron.

He's a football player though, so I guess that's to be expected.
