Per PFT. Sorry if this has already been posted. I'm expecting plenty of rumors in the next 15 hours.

My guess is the Jets will act serious, but Mangini will be stubborn and demand a second round, or even first round pick, and no one will bite. Mangini is a terrible negotiator, as evidenced by the Kendall and Revis fiascos this offseason. But hey, at least he's good at being a dirty rat.

Good for him.

I actually like noodlearm. He's a gamer

He'll get traded to the Bears for a 5th rounder and the Bears will end up as a wildcard in the NFC playoffs.

As for the Jets, the Kellen Clemensera will begin and end this season.

They'll be begging to get Testeverde back by week 13.

can we trade him for Chad Jackson and just pay him to stand on the sideline holding a "RATS S.UCK" sign during very game. That would be pretty excellent.

trade for a pack of crisps and then use him as the water boy, then we will let him face the jets and let him have the luxury of out talent receivers and to punish the jet further.

If the Jets trade Pennington anywhere, it will be either Arizona or Carolina. Maybe St. Louis. All 3 teams are looking for short term solutions..

What's his contractual status?

If you can't get rid of him at the end of the year in a cost effective way than it doesn't make sense for teams like St Louis and Arizona who have high priced QBs as it is.

I guess you don't understand the meaning of SHORT TERM solution. The fact is that, once they get Pennington, they can cut him at NO COST to themselves. The Jets would be responsible for the signing bonus amortization.

K didn't know that.

The Bears would be a good fit for Chad, who is the only person in that organization I like.

It's funny... every Jets fan is convinced that Kellen Clemens is Tom Brady to Chad Pennington's Drew Bledsoe.

isn't the deadline over?????

They're willing to trade him, but not willing to bench him? Jesus...

Not every backup is Tom Brady, and not every benching of a struggling starting quarterback is a good idea. Sometimes, keeping with the starter is the right way to go. Kansas City is a perfect example of this.

Also, dont forget that Pennington can't play anymore. If they were having some success, than trading Pennington would get them something. I think they will trade him so Mankotite won't have to make a man decision and bench his starting QB.

That team is ****ed without Pennington. At least with Pennington they can win 5-6 games.

A trade of Pennington would be a good move if the Jets can pull it off. Pennington has limitations and he is done in NY. It is time for the Jets to start something new. However, there are so many QB starved teams out there that Pennington would have a shot at continuing to be a starter on a number of teams, despite his limitations. As someone else said, though, Mangini seems incapable of taking a discount or "giving away" anything for the good of the team. We'll see.

Lets see the Falcons, Cardinals, Panthers, Vikings?, and Rams could use him. If i was him id push real hard to get traded to the panthers. Good WR, good Def, decent Coach, decent running game. Could work.
