Just now of NFL Total Access. Forgot the exact wording but basically said that Seymour's about 100% ready from his offseason surgery and the Patriots are just waiting for the right time now that we're at the 6 week mark. Earlier on WEEI, Wilfork was also talking as if Seymour would be back sooner than later.

stop getting my hopes up:singing:

Re: Shefter says Seymour almost ready

Very good news!

Re: Shefter says Seymour almost ready

ease him into the phins game...unleads him against the colts.

YES! This makes our defense even better. Great news that he is pretty much 100%.

Re: Shefter says Seymour almost ready

Shefter also said how unfair it seems (jokingly, not with ill intent towards us) that we're doing what we're doing and should soon get a pro bowler back.

:rocker:

Re: Shefter says Seymour almost ready

I'd wait for the Foreskins game at the very earliest. We all want him 100% ready for the Colts, but having him for the rest of the 2nd half and the play-offs is bigger.

I think we can handle Miami's one-man O without him.

Re: Shefter says Seymour almost ready

can't wait to see him in the line-up

Re: Shefter says Seymour almost ready

yup, if we hold him another 2 weeks, in wont be dissapointed...maybe ease him in on the redskins game and unleash him in the colts game...

Re: Shefter says Seymour almost ready

the run defense is gonna be nasty

Re: Shefter says Seymour almost ready

Don't rush him back. We want him for the 2nd half and the play-off's.

I think I read somewhere that Ronnie Brown is having a pretty good season so if thats the case I would think his Oline is playing well. Don't under estimate what the Phins could bring to the table even though they are 0-6.

Good news, but Seymour isn't the same player he was in 2003 or so. Injuries have beaten the guy down each of the last 4 years.

That's great to hear. I wouldn't rush him though. Ease him back in as others have stated. I can't wait to see him back out there. But most of all, just glad to see him healthy.

this isnt ground breaking news..the pats have 3 weeks to activate him which falls under "sooner".
i think he comes back for the indy game.

I think he'll come back before Indy. Needs to knock some rust off before the showdown.

Maybe not but Shefter is the most reliable source and no-one talks with the Patriots so the last "rumor" we heard was still PFT saying he could be out for the year.

But it's all him. I don't fear the Cleo Lemon led passing attack.

I disagree, he was an absolute beast when he came back from injury in the 2nd half of 2005. He was inconsistent last year, but that doesn't mean he's declining.

I totally disagree. Seymour was dominant down the stretch in 2005 and for most of 2004.

Inuries and slow starts have hampered him, but when he is 100% he is the same guy he ever was. Which is why I totally agreed with NE putting him on PUP.
