I would like some intelligent conversation about the game next Sunday. I know for some reason we bring the Pats a much tougher fight than one would expect. Cleo Lemon performed well enough to win, however our defense was once again shredded. I think if we can hold you guys to field goals we have a shot to win the game.

I think you have a superb team and a very well run organization.

I think if the Pats can hold the Fins to safeties we will win

Welcome!

Do you plan on kidnapping Brady, Moss, Welker, Stallworth, Watson and our O-Line before the game?

I think your going to have to score a lot of points to win. But historically it's one game for the Patriots that records and how it looks on paper never seem to matter. Did your CB Allen get hurt today? You'll need healthy DB's.

Welcome aboard, don't mind us. You have no shot at winning, but I think we can definitely have some good, football talk with you. Let's keep it here and give this guy a break.

He comes in peace and means well ('though it's fair to say you WON'T hold us to FGs and it's also fair to say that if you WERE to hold us to FGs, the only result would be that our side of the shutout would take the form of some huge factor of 3.)

Expect Kyle Brady to be a big part of this game blocking Taylor. Neutralize him and Brady should have a field day against this team.

Our offense can put up some points. Ronnie Brown is a stud and I think Cam will finally start using Ted Ginn properly on our offense. We just need Cleo to manage the game. I think our only chance of winning is to pound the ball early and often to tire out your D and hopefully the heat will help. Your guys running game took a serious hit with Morris injured, and Maroney might not be 100%.

I agree with the original poster.
Welcome.
We only have 29 TDs this year tho...
More than the bottom 4 teams...altogether:bricks: :bricks: :bricks:

Its just a shame that the fins don't have WElker,Morris and Seau any more.
But hey you do have that Ginn guy, maybe ricky W and oh ya Cleo Lemon.

This game interests me in some ways because of the 0-6 6-0 factor. Something is fishy about that, and I think we will finally bring our A game. You guys are primed for a let-down, and after a big victory against Dallas this is the perfect time. Of course, our team might also want to help preserve the '72 perfect record, because on paper you guys can easily go 16-0.

Welcome. Why is your defense suddenly getting shredded this year? Is Zach Thomas still hurt? What's going on with Jason Taylor? He usually gives Brady fits, but I heard him tell an interviewer that he himself sucks this year.

Good point. In fact on NBC tonight, I think I heard Chris Collingsworth state that he believes the Dolphins are the best 0-6 team he's ever seen!

If we're going to talk "real" football, let's be careful with phrases like "I think Cam will finally start using Ted Ginn properly." That's a useless thing to say, pure conjecture.

As for "I think our only chance of winning is..." that's a phrase you need to avoid - on this site and in your mind. YOU HAVE NO CHANCE OF WINNING. Seriously. NONE. You're not going to "pound the ball," you're not going to "tire out our D." The heat WON'T help.

Matt Cassel could start and the Pats would win by double-digits, without any question whatsoever. Please know that when I say that, I mean "Welcome aboard. Thanks for sharing. Should be a helluva game."

The offense is a ton better then it was last year but unfortunately our defense is awful. Ronnie is a bonafide superstar and is running well behind a much improved line with Carey, Satele and Hadnot playing very well. Chambers was open so many times today and had so many chances to make big plays but Cleo killed us with his inaccurate throws. He also needs to do a better job of anticipating receivers becoming open. He waits until the receiver is open before he throws it and by the time it gets on target, the defense has adjusted.

This will also be the first game this year without the dirt. ;)

Aqua, thanks for the good contribution and the details. Miami does always give us a run, I just don't think so this year. However, if they were to, it would likely be due to the things you point out.

OK, I was with you on your previous post about Ronnie Brown being a stud and Ted Ginn Jr. (of the Ginn Family) being a threat. But this post is alot of hot air and flys in the face of your wish for an intelligent discussion. PS-was the something "fishy" remark an intentional pun?

First time all season I have to root against Brown the man is a beast in my opinion top 5 back in the league easy.
The soul reason why my team in number 1 in fantasy football which is amazing.
I've watched alot of Dolphins games.
Your secondary is terrible, Cleo Lemon will look like a High schooler against our defense.
Your offensive line is alright at run blocking but is struggling in Pass protection Colvin and Vrabel will take full advantage of this flaw.
I've seen Crowder over pursue his tackles, Thomas looks like his age is catching up Taylor looks frustrated.
You have good special teams and Ginn looked electric on that return today.
your down to your 3rd string free safety I believe.
Your tight end doesn't scare me.
I'm not anywhere near a defensive guru, this sounds too simple though have Adalius Thomas spy Brown the whole game follow him like his shadow.
Take away the deep pass by playing alot of nickel and dime defenses.
Lemon can not make a touch throw he has a bit of a arm but can't make the sideline, across opposite side of fields kinda plays so keep all the defense behind the receivers to break on some poorly thrown balls.
I think this is the year Brady completely breaks that Dolphins jinx.

Welcome.

Let me preface this by saying the Dolphins have historically been Brady's kryptonite. I think it's the color teal that does it. The game does scare me a little regardless of your record.

That being said, even with Faulk having to start at running back we beat you by at least 17. Our receiving corp is just way too scary. Seriously. I say we key on stopping Brown as we have in the best and allow Lemon to do his worst.

Pats/Miami is always a fun game.

See folks, this is why people lose money to bookies. They talk themselves into the most idiotic notions because they want them to be true... but wanting something doesn't make it so. Even if the Patriots do have a let down, they're still miles ahead of the Dolphins. They can't even see you in their rear-view mirror. Also, I'm pretty sure the current Dolphins would like to just win a game for themselves, the '72 team probably doesn't factor in too much at this point for an 0-6 team.

How DID that happen?
Seriously, I picked up the Dolphins D in the last round of my fantasy league this year. I finally had to drop them. The -3 points every week was killing me!

I think that we will beat your team by 14 to 21 points.
I'm sorry to break it to you but the Fins aren't half as good as the Cowboys... and the Pats just annihilated the Boys 48 to 27.
With the Fish offense I will be utterly surprised if you guys can even crack 20.

Verdict - Pats 38 - Fish 13.

Not trying to be mean but... you do realize you are talking about a matchup of the bottom feeding Fins vs the #1 offensive team in the NFL aka the Patriots right?
