hardee har har. I didn't find Rodney's play overall too enjoyably funny today. Hope it just 'pre season' jitters.

lol, I was just getting ready to post that. Funniest rodney comment ever!

I thought that his special teams tackle/push out of bounds was one of the big plays of the game though.

Did you see him track that down?

Yea, he may be a little rusty still, but he still has game.

Nice story mr Don Banks.

Only one critique; since when does the NFL have a rule where they get to take back 1 pt off the board??

After surging to leads of 14-0 at the end of the first quarter and 21-10 late in the first half, New England actually trailed the comeback-minded Cowboys 24-20 almost five minutes into the third quarter.

:)

That's it, your either a stealth troll or a half-hearted bandwaggon jumping refugee from some 0-6 team.

Yes, that's the point I finally stopped asking for him to be yanked. He was owned up until that point IMHO.

It's the "evaporation rule". Another Polian rule where the Patriots score is reduced by one point every three minutes unless they replenish it in time. It's in the interest of parity, I believe.

Ha Ha. nice :D

Rodney made an outstanding play early in the game on the safety blitz -- can't remember if it was a sack or stopping the running back for a loss. Great play.

He was only fractions of a second off a sack/flush at least 5-6 times that I remember. He was patting Romo's shoulder quite a bit at the end of plays.

The Rodney comment is funny. As for the rest of the article;

Ordinarily, I'm not much for too much glitz and hype when it comes to our team. I like the lunch pale mentality and workmenlike approach we've always suscribed to. But I have to admit, after all that crap we had to put up with early this year, all this excessive ball washing feels kinda nice.

Great quote.

While we're on the subject of Rodney, I've got a few questions/comments...

1. What did Rodney say to Romo while pointing to him after the Seau pick? They both were smiling. If the answer is in another thread, please let me know.

2. Rodney completely snuffed out the Barber goalline run. Unfortunately, Barber turned it into one of the best 2 yard gains in NFL history.

3. Rodney did an amazing job running deep to get in position to take down the kick returner on that long return. Even live, as I saw Gostkowski try to get an angle and take the returner down, I saw a Patriot make a beeline toward his own goalline and disappear off the right side of the screen. I didn't know who it was at the time, but I thought, "What an excellent job getting back there just in case the guy breaks free!"

Regards,
Chris

It was a sack that changed field position. We scored on the next drive. There was something going on with the big nickle, miscommunication or breakdowns, and I saw Rodney throw his hands in disgust after one completion that told me he was likely supposed to have help. I think a couple of players on defense were playing dinged up, ankles for Colvin and AD, which probably limited their use of AD against Witten. In the 4th quarter they changed their approach and started knocking that MF down to disrupt his karmic connection timing with Romo.

Particularly because he was clearly being held on that play. And pushed in the back, IIRC.

Rodney really got held alot in that game. I think they ever called one penalty which was practically a bear hug.

Funny............:) :) :)
