Maroney NOT OUT yet [Update: Maroney inactive]

Laurence Maroney (questionable, groin) was in uniform and seen running during early warmups Sunday.
Maroney took a lap around the field, and the Providence Journal believes it's a good sign for his chances of playing. Multiple reports have said Maroney will be out for the game, but that's not set in stone.

One interesting note is that running back Laurence Maroney is warming up on the field in game pants, a sign that he could be playing after all. We were told last night that he wouldn’t be playing, but who knows. Maybe something changed. This is the first time Maroney has worn game pants in the last three weeks. It could be gamesmanship, or it could be a sign that he’s going to play after all. We’ll keep you posted.

Following up on our last post, running back Laurence Maroney is running 50-yard sprints in one of the end zones. He doesn’t look inhibited right now, for whatever that’s worth, though he’s not going full speed.

Patriots RB Laurence Maroney is in his game pants and is loosening up on the field with members of the team's strength and training staff. He is running sprints from sideline to sideline with Don Davis and Harold Nash.

It looks like he is indeed a game-time decision.

He’s now playing catch at the 35, running some pass patterns and cutting quickly.

Head coach Bill Belichick is wearing a suit, talking to him at the 40.

Gamesmanship? At this late hour, would Maroney's presence in uniform really cause the 'boys to make adjustments?

He's probably warming up so that he can make some football moves. How convincingly he cuts, starts and stops, will be the basis for the coaching staff's decision.

Why is it no one chose to believe what the coach said...game time decision means decision made at pre game warm ups as they are undergoing right now.

its funny, the reporters announce maroney is out then when he is testing his groin out they call its gamesmanship ..they create the news and give a name to it .

LOL It's gonna be a tough day for the cutoff hoodie, 80's and humid with threats of rain I hear. Probably a polo shirt day. He travels to and from in a suit, as his players do.

I think Koolaid is a legit game time decision. He was last week but the combination of not needing him and likely still some slight evidence of the lingering groin injury kept him out. Today it's likely a matter of feeling he won't be subject to a setback if he goes. If wrong Tomase will shrug off the misinformation onto his source. If right he will claim he broke the story. The risk reward for him was all on predicting an out. Nothing to be lost or gained is rehashing game time decision...

Which is why I like Reiss a LOT more than Tomase..Reiss more or less speculated Maroney would be held out..no inside source..definitive..
