After two versus one analysts picked Pats O.

Cowher: Because Colts went to the Super Bowl because of Home Field Advantage. It's huge in this league.

Cowher should know how big HFA is, right?

I'll agree with the title...give the Colts their due.

To be the champ - need to beat the champ.

And not just in regular season, when we knock the Colts out of the playoffs and go on to win it all - we then become the best.

everybody starts at the bottom of the mountain. juse because you reached the top the season prior means nothing. look at the 97 pats and they though they should be top afc dogs because they went to the superbowl and denver took it the follwoing season.

Except we're both 5-0....tie goes to the Champ.

I guess my point of view is who really cares. it's week 6. i think the regular season matchup will be the true indicator. anyone can spin stats and strength of schedule to their argument. it's just media fodder

in the long run all that matters is january, nov 4th will matter a lot in how the teams get there but I don't think Ther Pats or The Colts could sweep the other team with ease twice in a sesaon

I agree with you 100% there...speaking of media, I can never remember a time when I was so disenchanted with all of them. They are worse than politicians in my book.

I feel like a need a shower after reading or listening to most of them

I think you mistook the segment. Shannon was the one mildly toting the Colts O sighting their improved weapons this season include Gonzalez replacing a slot receiver they didn't have due to injury last season.

What I heard Cowher say was the Colts won the SB because of HFA which is huge in this league. I took that to mean absent it they wouldn't have been making the appearance against a team any AFC contender was gonna roll over.

You guys just aren't the same out of the dome. Freeney loses his effectiveness when the offense can actually hear the snap count, and your O just does not have the same mechanical precision out of doors, especially in the cold. Nov. 4 matters more than you're admitting here.

The question was whose O was better of the Colts and Pats teams. Somebody asked Cowher how he thinks Pats O is better. Cowher dismissed Shannon's argument that the Colts are better simply because they're Super Bowl champions. Cowher said Colts won the SB because of HFA which is huge in this league.

because what a team did last year has no revelance to what they are doing / will do this year.

Cowher's saying Shannon's argument that the Colts are better because they're Super Bowl champions doesn't matter since the Pats would have if not for HFA.

In my opinion, the pats would've won it if they weren't flu-riddled. No one on the pats used the flue excuse, but try playing a sport with a fever/flu...You get exhuasted very quickly. I'm no elite athlete, but I have played hockey with the fever, and I was dying on the ice. In my opinion, the flu/fever that was going around completely explains the second half breakdown. This team was out of gas because they werent healthy. A BB pats team has never been that gased before (or since) in a game.

But it is what it is....

Thats not true, the last 3 seasons, including this one the Colts are 14-5 away from the Dome, nothing spectacular but they have certainly showed they can win on the road, during the entire Tony Dungy era the Colts are 28-12 on the road during the regular season,

I didn't realize that Baltimore was a home game for us. In addition, I didn't realize the SB was played in the Dome last year. Man, how'd it rain in there?? Glad they fixed the leak:rolleyes:
