Just heard that on WBZ Gameday...do NOT think it will mean much, but that might be the case..He did NOT say for sure...but gave the impression he might be...a bit less definitive than Tomase.. more attuned to reality..

That should settle it then.
The Big Three local bloggers all agree.

Maroney plays.

CBS (Simms) says game time decsion....depends how he looks while trying to cut in pre-game warm ups.

Who are the other two??? I do trust Reiss..but he was more speculating than saying anything definitive...unlike Tomase who came out with the ...He's OUT...I am right word...

Why is it "more attuned to reality" just because it's "less definitive than Tomase?" Tomase reported that a SOURCE SAYS Maorney is OUT for the game. Do you guys really think he just makes stuff up?

Tomase yesterday.
SMY overnight.
Mike this morning.

Unanimous is always wrong.

Reiss GOOD!
Tomase BAD!

I get it now. We'll simply ignore Tomase's scoops because we (and I include myself in this very last bit) think he's got a negativist agenda.

I was among those saying I'd wait until sunday on that Tomase thread. That wasn't a dig at Tomase it's just that I find it unusual for the Patriots to have brought Maroney along for the trip and list him as a "game-time decision" if he had already been ruled out saturday. If they had already ruled him out it would also seem unusual for anyone to leak this information to Tomase, as you'd think BB and company wouldn't want to Cowboys to know he's out. I also thought the team could be feeding misinformation that he's not playing.

In any case as I said before we'll have to wait to find out for sure later today.

I agree with that. I see it as BB gamesmanship. Maybe even what if Sammy pulled something pre-game and a sub-par Maroney would be a better RB. Or maybe Sammy showed flu symptoms like Light. You never know when a guy is close.

Firstly, take a look at Tomase's record...I think we can jusge it by what he has said in the past.. as well as his collumns....It doesn't mean that he is always wrong or that his 'scoops" should be ignored totally, but there have been MANY on this board who claim he's on par with Reiss...and I find that untrue and totally bogus. He has had some very good moments of reporting..I agree...(so didn't Borges on a rare occasion..) but there have been just as many dumb negative statements as well.
As for this, I find it quite odd that teh team would have Maroney travel to Dallas and rule him out the night before a game. That seems highly unlikely. I think Reiss is closer to the pulse of things and does not rush to get out half baked information. And when he is wrong, he's the first to correct it. Don't see many doing that at all.

Tomase right again. Scoops Reiss.
