Two things

a) Breer has great respect for BB and above all BB respects breer a lot. Those are quotes from a 1 on 1 intvw it seems not a press conf. In fact BB said this week that it was strange to see Breer in opposing colors(dallas news). When Breer left he attributed a lot of his knowledge to BB. This was his comment -

"For me, one of the keys was listening in the press conferences. I look at him as being the Albert Einstein of football and I feel fortunate that I was there to ask questions and learn the game of football from him. I really do love football and I'm a football guy and so I'm forever indebted to Bill Belichick. I feel so luck to have covered him."
~ Boston Sports Media Watch"

b) He always refers to him as "Mr" Belichick. Thats great in some sort of way.

Yes, this is an excellent article from someone in the press who really knows what makes BB tick.

Of particular note was his mention of "recent revelations of rule- breaking". Nothing sensational, nothing stupid, just a brief statement of the facts.

Somebody in the media can actually report!

I agree...will be missed here..

very nice article from our old pal.

EXCELLENT article. One of my favorite quotes came from "Mr. Faulk" -

"We played as a team, to let him know, 'This game, we did it for you, Coach,' " said running back Kevin Faulk, a Patriot for all of Mr. Belichick's tenure. "Not just that we rallied behind him, we wanted to let him know we had his back. He's our coach, he's the leader of this team, and we played the way he'd want us to play."

That's why he had to leave... :bricks:

The guy he worked under as a blogger at the Herald will tell you, as he did other Tufts grads, that in the sports media business what gets you noticed (particularly in Boston) is breaking stories... or attacking your subjects. That's how he advanced his career, as did the guy who preceeded him.

Albert looks to want to take a different path to success. Good luck to him.

Why is it terrible to "Break stories?"

Not only was it an excellent article but the way it was combined with Belichick's biography and stats was very well done.
