Tomase: Maroney OUT

Seeing as Maroney made the trip to Dallas and BB said he's a game-time decision I'm going to take his word on the situation. Tomase could end up being correct and Maroney misses this game, but I doubt he's already been ruled out by anyone of importance, especially considering he looked good in practice. Also, don't forget the Patriots have been known to use misinformation. (IE: putting the word out Maroney's not going to play the night before, only to have him start sunday.) Not saying that's the case here but I'm waiting until official word Maroney's not going, as I do when it comes to all of the players listed as game-time decisions.

if its true, that source will hear it from BB because the reason BB took maroney on the trip is to keep it from announcing till the last minute.
But this teams isnt known to fly passengers so iam surprised it was decided so soon even internally.
either way its disappointing if its true

Not sure I believe him anyway but I think Morris is a better matchup against the fast Dallas defense.

The only thing that would make sense is that BB wanted to make the Cowboys have to prepare for Maroney, but then if he knew Maroney wasn't going to play and flew Maroney to Dallas only to make them believe he might play then I'm pretty sure BB would have told all people involved to keep their ever lovin' mouths shut. For this reason I'm waiting until sunday.

or it may not be a game for maroney i.e BB expects to throw more so may not play him.

pretty disappointing

Sorry guys - I am not convinced. Tomase is not very well liked around the team - so, who could this source with knowledge of the situation possibly be?

If anything, it makes me think he IS playing, just to show up JT.

A source with knowledge of the situation.

Someone who would talk to Tomase.

Seems to be mutually exclusive.

Isn't Sammy Morris a very good backup though?

In Miami last year, he played very well when Ronnie Brown was injured, and in that Cincy Mon Nighter, he played very well throughout the game.

He's been fantastic, we have no complaints (think I can speak for everybody).

However, Laurence hasn't lived up to the initial excitement and a lot of people want to see him get it together consistently. Of course injuries are injuries.

to be honest, I am not too concerned about Maroney's status for this game. I think the Pats win with or without him. Maroney has been an after thought with the way that Morris has been filling in for him.

The passing game will take over the game anyways.

Anyone saying that this must be a lie, and that maroney is playing; how can you say that? The only thing that Maroney has kept consistant so far in his NFL career is being injured. It would be no surprise if he were out.

Yeah, he's missed 4 out of 24 possible games. It's almost like he's never even played!

Two players definitely out are Wesley Britt and Mel Mitchell, Britt for personal reasons.

Did you know? Corey Dillon was a softy too!

Maybe Tomase talked to the janitor. Either way he has a 50-50 shot at being right. I would also like to see Maroney play but Morris will do just fine. The running game will set up the passing game.

I hadn't heard that. What have you heard/read?
