i think its polian being full of himself. Reason they are not in primetime is because other networks are fighting for their share of ratings - one of the main reasons cbs got the pats game this yr instead of nbc.

And that doesn't even count that, with a couple clicks, I can jump inside Manning's Mind and hear the museum-like echo any time I want.

If I were a colts fan this year, I'd be pretty good and pissed this year.

Imagine the shoe were on the other foot. We were defending superbowl champs, were undefeated against a decent schedule, and seemed to be rolling toward another easy playoff appearance.

Yet all we heard was about some other 5-0 team out there that we had beaten the year before the in the AFC championship. I'd be pissed.

It's pretty much all Pats all the time these days, whether positive or negative, we're the team that everyone seems to talk about, despite the fact that Indy are the champs and will be until someone knocks them off.

Could you imagine the disrespect card we'd (and our coach) would be playing if the shoe were on the other foot?

It is a relatively known fact that the reason that the Colts/Patriots game is not in primetime because CBS gets screwed every year because the what is usually the most popular game on the AFC schedule (Pats/Colts) always ends up in primetime. The league decided that CBS should actually have it for once.

Besides, the Colts have only blown out the Pats once in the Brady era.

What are you talking about? You said they toast the leauges average opponent. As proven this year by the titans game, and many times last year that is not true.

There are 32 teams in the league.

That means that the Colts, hosting ONE of the 17 prime time games, are better off than 15 other teams on the league, who get to host NOTHING.

If the colts are so popular why would they care if the colts win by too much?? how is that bad tv?
WHy would they schedule dallas vs Buffalo ....everyone thought that was going to be a blow out....it wasn't but no one picked it.

If the Indy primetime ratings drop it would be becasue most people tune in to see the colts lose and when it doesn't look like they will they turn the dial. Fans watch the whole game.

The question and answer had nothing to do with the game against the Patriots. They were talking about the lack of home Monday night games. The defending Super Bowl champ doesn't have a single home Monday night game.

Q: Why are there so few Monday Night games in the RCA Dome?

A: NBC told us they don’t like us at home, because we tend to win by rather large scores and that doesn’t make for good TV. Monday Night is ESPN and I think we’re only on once – Jacksonville. They chose Jacksonville as the host there. That’s partially the schedule-maker and partly television and partly how they juxtapose the schedule and fit every game in. It tends to run a little bit in cycles. We’ve had our share of Monday Night games at home, I think, and this year it tends to go the other way. The one anomaly that I find interesting in the schedule – and I don’t have a stat on this, but I’m going to get it next week – is that we’re on the road on Monday Night at Jacksonville and then have to go back and play on the road the following Sunday at Carolina. That is extremely rare. I can’t remember it happening to any team that I have been with. My memory is failing me these days, so I could be wrong on that, but nothing jumps to mind immediately. It is a very, very difficult thing to do.
