Q: Former Colts linebacker Cato June, who’s now with the Buccaneers, said before the game he was going to give his new teammates tips on Peyton’s calls and signals at the line of scrimmage. How did you feel the Colts handled that Sunday?

A: ]It just proves all the intelligence in the world pre-game isn’t going to do you any good, because Peyton knows people are trying to figure that out. We change it week to week and sometimes quarter to quarter, depending upon what we think is appropriate, so it’s very difficult for somebody to pick that up. Now, we run certain plays and everybody knows we run them. The problem is stopping them and knowing when they’re going to be run. That’s why we’ve done a good job of disguising that and executing them. Sunday was a relatively straightforward simple game plan because we had so many young players in the game. In fact, on kickoff coverage, we had seven rookies. They did a darned good job, by the way. It really isn’t the nomenclature that’s important. What’s important is the execution.

To me, the most important part of this quote is someone acknowledging the importance of CHANGING SIGNALS.

For instance, if Tom Jackson thinks the Rams are dumb enough to use the same signals in the Super Bowl that they used in November, then that's the Rams problems. If only someone were around on Sunday on ESPN to ask Tom Jackson his own favorite question, "are you ******ed?"

Well, I used "funny" very loosely. I guess I'm just over it now and the only reason I even posted the quote was because I thought everyone would enjoy it.

As was obvious to all of us, if Ratgini "knew" we were stealing signs to use in the game then he'd have waited until we "knew" the signs then changed up. Duh. It makes me want the Patriots to kick the asses of every team even more - and I can't help but wonder if the players and coaches have the same anger just underneath their skin.

It makes me want the Patriots to kick the asses of every team even more - and I can't help but wonder if the players and coaches have the same anger just underneath their skin.

I feel exactly the same way and about the "thief in the night" comment. Obviously, I live here in Indy so I hear it everywhere I go and I just laugh it off these days. I used to hear the word "metro" constantly while wearing my Brady jersey and now I hear "cheater." Either way in the end I just put up three fingers and walk away.

The guy seems oblivious to the fact that champs get a tougher slate. You've got to love the "we typically win big at home" bit- good thing we play them in the afternoon
