the ONE big concern I see is not just Maroney but worse case Maroney and Faulk BOTH being out..that is more of a problem...It showed a lot late in the 4th Quarter..and a game like that would stifle the offense to a large degree.

Maroney will play. I'll 100% guarantee that one.

He better. This kid is made out of glass. Already missed two games this year. Meanwhile his "geezer" backup is pounding the ball.

Maroney is starting to worry me. He is injury proned. He is always ultra nicked up. For a young guy that is not good.

You are correct. Out of all things that could hurt our gameplan, a lack of running game is a concern, if that materializes. Because it will allow the Cowboys to pin their ears back.

But overall, I still think we pull the game out with or without a lot of yards on the ground.

Today is Wednesday, first day back. Can we at least wait for the injury report before we start kvetching about things that might not be an issue...

Yeah just like fellow "glass men" Steven Jackson and Joseph Addai sitting on the sideline. And Shaun Alexander and Frank Gore with their broken hands. WTF is wrong with these guys

MLR, some folks, myself included can't wait for each weekend.....got to learn to be patient, its a long season

Did we have a running game last week???

I expect Maroney to play but BB is resting players throughout the year so we can maintain at the end of the year...

Maroney getting a few games off during the year is worth it if he is healthy and rested come January...

I think if BB thought he was really needed he would have played...

Just because someone is on the injury report doesent mean they are incapable of playing...:bricks:

Due to increased federal scrutiny, black market sources for HGH have dried up!:D

This is exactly the type of game the Patriots need. They will be in a hostile environment, on the road playing against a good team.

Dallas is very physical on both sides of the ball and don't use a lot of trickery. They just line up and try to beat you 'mano a mano'. Very similar to how the Patriots and Steelers play.

Win or lose (and I expect a win) these games help you prepare for the playoffs. I fully expect the game to come down to the final 5 minutes (for once).

19-0 would be nice but I will settle for a battle tested fundamentally solid team come January.

I'd just say the Dallas D is more than worthy of concern.

As bad as the game against Buffalo was, how bad was the D?

They only gave up 3 points I think, and played a solid game... its Romo who let so many points up on the board.

So don't look at that final score and think the D played poorly - one could make the case they played better against Buffalo than we did.

I'm not sure the injury report will clarify anything..I DO think it's a concern..Maroney has been out two weeks and could be again this week..it would be less of an issue OR not a large one if Faulk was healthy..Faulk's injury kept him out of the game and he has had foot/ankle problems before in past years.
It's going to be a bit harder to win in Dallas if both are out..I also would expect the Pats to make a move IF there is a large chance both are out.

The Dallas D is very good..and without both Maroney and Faulk, a LOT of weight will be placed on Morris..I think obviously with an running attack with depleted depth, will ONLY improve teh Dallas defense as more DBs can be used in coverage.

What concerns me most, along with that Dallas D, is that we have not had any adversity. What happens when we get a bad bounce or two, a deflected pass picked off, mental mistakes, etc.

I think the pats have just been incredible this season, but being pesemistic as I am, I always worry about a bad break here or there against a good team.

When the Colts roll around I will then start to worry about bad officiating effecting the game.

However, Pats by 17 this Sunday!

Until Brady made that horrible throw "to" Welker this weekend, his only interception was off a tipped pass to Moss. . . .

And, last I checked, the D did step up when the Chargers collected that fumble on Hobbs' return (pushing them out of FG range all the way back into their own territory).
