The Pats were sloppy last sunday, after playing MNF. The 1985 Bears' only loss that year followed MNF. Dallas is coming off a stressful game themselves.

I tried to find historical W-L following a MNF game to no avail. Perhaps someone knows.

It stand to reason that a day is lost for prep, rest, etc. Day-to-day schedules (sleep, practice, etc) may have rythmic disruptions.

I'm not trying to spoon feed excuses for Dallas or false hope for Pats fans, but I am simply curious if there is any tangible effect the following week.

FTR: Wade Phillips is 0-2 on MNF, BB only 5-4.

Actually-the '85 Bears LOST on MNF to the Fins. I remember that game-Dan Marino absolutely shredded that 46 D. It was their only loss of the year.

I stand corrected then. Thanks. Numerous interweb sites have it as I wrote.

Believe half of what you see, some of what you read, and none of what you hear, I guess....

Thanks for the correction, though.

Honestly-what worries me most is the matchup nightmares the Pats give to my Boys. Last year when Indy played at TX Stadium, WE gave them matchup nightmares(with our 3-4 D and physical O-line).

I'd be curious what the record for the team that was on the road for the MNF game was the following week. Also what the overall average record for the teams playing on MNF was. While .500 might seem average for the teams the following week, it sounds low to me as the good teams are generally on MNF a lot more than the bad teams.

ESPN reported this morning that visiting teams are .562 after road MNF games which I found high BUT keep in mind that teams that play on Monday night are the better teams so it stands to reason that they would do better. I was under the impression that visiting teams did poorer after Monday Nighr games but if their facts are right.........

Right, that's why it's a stat that needs to be used carefully. The better teams play on MNF, mostly, but the following week they're up against the field. Like last week with us playing against Cleveland but it's not the same for Dallas. Regardless, I think we're the better team.

does'snt matter. if the pats win will we come out and say we won because we had an advantage because dallas played on MNF ? iam sure all of us will say the better team won.
