Hello Pats fans,,,, I have been lurking on your board and see that Dallas is getting no love at all in the upcoming battle of the unbeatens. First of all I realize last nights performance has only raised the Pats confidence even more than it was prior to that game. However please do not feel that since you decimated the Bills and the boys struggled it means you get a definate win @ Texas Stadium. The Bills were as dangerous as any team in the NFL last night. They got no respect for being a worthy opponent, it was their first Monday night home game in 13 yrs against an undefeated team, they were coming off a huge win against the Jets , rejuveniated by an impressive rookie QB. 75,700 loyal and screaming Bills fans. Now I am not one who is going to come in here and boast about how we will kick your butt and all that, it really makes a fan look stupid if you make bold predictions and then lose. I am not going to even try to convince you that Dallas is a better this and that. I am simply going to say Dallas is the toughest team the Pats have yet to face.
Yea we are the underdogs, but thats ok, the more fuel on the fire ,,the hotter it burns. Anyways I look forward to talking some INTELLIGENT football with the pats fans throughout the week leading up.

I do realize Terrence McGee and JP played little to none in that game(Pats game). The Boys run defense looks impressive which leads me to believe that BB is gonna once again spread the offense out and I see Welker being huge in this game as I don't think a LB can cover him and he far exceeds the matchup of their nickleback.

I can't wait to see if Dallas will try to take the browns defensive strategy in stopping Moss. Watson might have another good game, albeit not over 100 yards. Faulk will be crucial in this game, I hope he's back.

I do think Dallas will have a tough time running the ball and the Pats will contain Romo from leaving the pocket for bug runs. I will admit that Owens will get his catches. In the end I think Romo is gonna have a tough time in 3rd and long as the Pats will probably have 2 Dlinemen and a ton of def backs and lb's. Harrison and AD will be critical in containing Witten(Romo's favorite target, along with Owens.)

I see the Pats taking this one and will be a good indicator of how good the Pats are and if Dallas is legit or just the best NFC team.

It's just when we look at your secondary it's like hmmmm.............Newman then who? Williams can't cover anyone to save his life. He's a LB playing safety. Along with that Romo is a scrambler and the Patriots play scrambling QB's extremely well. He showed us how green he still really is, he showed us that he can be completely thrown off by a great defensive scheme.

He's going to see some nutty stuff by Belichicks defense come Sunday.

frankly the pats know how good the bills can be . bruschi was on radio yesterday before the game and cautioned everyone picking dallas to rollover that buffalo is a tough out.

Dallas is a very good team.
BB is like 1-3 vs your coach.
We haven't won in Dallas in a while (maybe never).

But hey, welcome!!
Like our coach says everything will be decided on the field.
In case you've missed it, we haven't yet 1 game this year gone ALL OUT.
I suspect your very good team will give it your best.
Just don't be surprised if we use you as a statement game.
I predict Dallas will score 21 NE will score 42.
We always take it easy on the competition when we are up by 3 scores.:D :D :D

Good point Mr. Tibbs.

Our defensive schemes for Sunday will blow some minds.

We have to reveal to Indy what they'll get handed to them on Nov. 4.

Dallas probably is the toughest team we will have faced, but SD may be just as good. Its hard for me to reinvent opinions on teams over 1 month. Dallas is PLAYING BETTER than anyone we have faced.

I think this is a great test for the Cowboys. Remember, you are a team that hasn't won a playoff game in many years. Beating the Giants, Bears, Dolphins, Bills, and Rams is not evidence to elevate your team to elite. Its not evidence to say they are not elite either.

I think the analysis of this game, and what will be determined ON THE FIELD, goes like this:

there may be questions how much better the Patriots are this year than last, or than in SB years.
Can the Cowboy defense, that hasn't faced a good offense yet, turn what has been a dominant offense into a less than dominant one?
Is there pressure-focussed defense going to be able to get to a QB who has been sacked only 3 times in 5 games?
Will they be able to cover the deep Patriot receiver group if they don't get pressure?
Will they be able to stop the running game that no one else has?
How will the Cowboy D do against the first good offense it has faced?

On the other side of the ball:
How will Romo respond to the BB defense that typically gives young QBs fits?
Will the Cowboys be able to run to take pressure off of Romo?
Is the Cowboy offense improved as much as it seems, or how much of that is a product of having played mostly terrible defenses?

To me, the majority of the questions need to be answered by the Cowboys. Sure, they could answer them positively, but we have a pretty good idea of what the Patriots are. The Cowboys are either on the verge of being a great team, or are a team that has had a good month against bad teams.

The Cowboys are an excellent team. In my book there are no easy wins. While I think Dallas should have lost last night, that is the mark of a good team. They kept in it and grinded it out. By the way, I've come to really like Romo. He's got a great attitude.

If they play the coverages Cleveland did, and Brady leans on Watson, he should have MORE than a 100 yard game, because he will be covered by Roy Williams, who cannot cover nearly as well as anyone facing Watson last week.

This could be very likely, but I also am considering that Watson has not proven he consistently can have big yardage receiving games.

Plus I'd like to think that BB will get back to using Welker more as his numbers have diminished greatly. Need to get him more involved which could take a couple receptions away from Watson. And i'd liek to see Welker put in motion... no one can cover him.

I just hope Brady's accuracy problems were maybe weather related and covereage related and they'll be fixed in Dallas.

I can see some good points and reasons why you have great confidence. While Dallas has not faced nowhere near any offense with such a prolific pass attack as the Pats,,, Dallas has stepped it up in the secondary since the bashing by the Giants, granted they will be tested by arguably the best passing offense in the league. Since the Giants game no team has thrown downfield with much success and almost every member of the secondary and yes believe it or not "Roy Williams" has got a pick through the first five games.

Thats one play in 5 games :)

I'm not brimming with Cowboy confidence when you say since being torched by the Giants, they have 'stepped up' the pass D against the Fins, Bears, Bills, and Rams. If those aren't the worst 5 passing offenses in the NFL, they are in the room arguing for the honor.

I never pay attention to what opponents a team has beat. It really is hard to win 5 games straight in the NFL,, just maintaining that momentum is enough to qualify a team as viable. The paper stats also match up pretty well with Dallas and the Pats. Any time you have 2 teams with 5-0 records it ends up being a hard fought game, usually decided by who makes the least amount of mistakes.

Greetings. Two things:

It's not meant to disrespect the other teams. Some of us just have a really hard time seeing this team losing to anyone. This NE team has been dominant.

The game last night was horrible. Buffalo was not a worthy opponent. They sucked, scoring 3 points on offense. The only reason they were in the game (let alone ahead) is because Dallas was handing it to them. Dallas should be ashamed of that game and realize just how lucky they were. They went up against a greatly inferior opponent and were lucky to win.

Ahhhhh,,, once again the "who have you played " gets thrown on the table. This could just as well be boomeranged back at the pats,, if you look at the rankings,, you see that the Pats, while having faced some better ranked teams,, it is not by much. And also if you recall,, last year is when Dallas got the rep. for not being able to cover a turtle downfield, we got burned by teams that were not so terrific in the pass rankings,, our secondary had a way of making decent QBs look like HOFmers. In other words we were so horrid you did not have to have a high ranked pass attack to make us look bad. My hope tells me Wade Phillips has made some improvement in this area this season, its not like Dallas has picked up some shut down secondary help, so the only assumption I can come to is the defensive scheme has improved.

That is true.

The reason I think Romo ends up making the mistakes is because he likes to run around, get out of the pocket, ect. Belichick will try and take that away from him. We do good against mobile QBs simply by taking that aspect of their game away, and a lot of times it frustrates them to no end.

That is a fair response to your assertion that the Cowboys "stepped up their defense."

Because you have yet to play a good offense, there is no way of telling if you are truly good, or merely the beneficiary of a scheduling fluke.

If you win on Sunday, you will have proven that you indeed stepped up your defense and are a contender.

If you lose, then you will have shown the opposite, that you only play well against bad offenses and are a pretender.

There is much truth to the statement that you beat everyone you faced. But equal truth to the fact that you haven't faced a good offense yet. This will be a big test for Dallas. Contender or pretender? We'll know on Sunday.

PLease don't try to sell us on how "tough" the Buffalo defense was and that they were a "worthy" opponent.....Buffalo is most likely the WORST team in the league this year.......don't try to sell them to us as anything different.
You should bend over, get your head between your knees and kiss your own a## that you are so lucky that Buffalo's implosion/weak play and coaching, enabled you to weasel your way into the 5-0 club........Fact is...tony throwns that poorly or makes the same bad decisions against the Pats, and the results will be horrifically different. Not trying to be a wise guy here.....not even remotely trying to look past Dallas either......but if the Pats play to the best of their ability.....Tony will have a few picks (at least), TO will be imploding, and the Pats should beat them pretty handily........Best of luck however, ........Hopefully, you are a man of your word....and we can expect INTELLIGENT conversation from you and others this week....GO PATS!!!!!!

I don't see them getting that many points on us....nor do I see us scoring that high,.......will release my own prediction on score later this week!
