Was everybody entertained monday night? I feel bad for the bills fans because they deserved to win but thats what happens when the offense does'nt score touchdowns.

As for the upcoming game between our teams. Im not expecting much because IMO the cowboys are no where near what the patriots are doing skill wise. any cowboys fans that come here and post otherwise( and there will be some) are blind homers that don't understand football.

I look foward to football talk with Pats fans to hear views from the other side. I don't engage in smack talk or name calling so if thats what your into, im sure there will be those types of cowboy fans for you.

Re: Hey Pats fans.

Welcome!

I think it will be a good game b/w 2 very good teams. I'm looking forward to it.

My prediction is the Pats win by 14 pts, 31-17.

Re: Hey Pats fans.

You will find this board to not be like other teams boards...we encourage football talk and won't 'close new memberships' during the week leading up to the game. With that said, I would be nervous if I were Dallas....we just killed Buffalo, and had a bad week against cleveland and still won by a lot. Should be a fun game, and I don't think Romo will have 6 turnovers this week.

Welcome and let the football talk commense! :D

Re: Hey Pats fans.

You sound like an objective Cowboy fan. Hopefully you're the rule & not the exception. lol It should be an entertaining game for sure. Romo looked really bad last night, but he's shown some glimpses of greatness this season. There's no doubt that TO & Witten present a big challenge in the passing game. I think the key will be stopping Barber & the running attack however.

Re: Hey Pats fans.

The dallas WR scare me.
They have big ability.
Romo is at his most dangerous when out of the pocket buying more time for his WR to get open.
I think the Pats are going to focus on keeping Romo in the pocket and shutting down the running game forcing romo to win from the pocket in combo/double coverages with disguise blitz packages.

Offensively I think the Pats need to focus on figuring what Dallas will try to take away and really focus on not being on 3rd and long situations where Ware and Spencer can pin their ears back and fly in.

I'd like to see them pick on Roy William's half of the field with Randy Moss/Stallworth. Match up our speed guys against a bigger S that has had issues in the past covering speed guys. But then again I fully expect Dallas to protect Williams from this exact situation but don't think they can every play.

Hey TR2TO4TD. Maybe you can help answer a question for me. Whenever I see Marion Barber with the ball he looks like one of the most electric RB's in the league. Yet when they give it to Julius Jones the offense seems a bit stagnant. I know Barber didn't do much last night (though in limited opportunities), but with all the success he has had this season and all previous ones how come he has not become the feature back? I see Barber run sometimes and I hope that is what Maroney, his old running partner, will become. Just curious if you had any thoughts.

Re: Hey Pats fans.

I was impressed with Brady James last night. That's one physical LB you got there.

Barber's style has just always been best as the 4th quarter finish-em off back, whereas Julius is more of a threat to break off a 30 yard run. Jones' style has paid off at times, especially in the playoff game last year, as prior to Romo's botched snap Jones had ripped off a long run to help get them downfield. So while Barber has been the more efficient back overall, the reason for the split has been the contrast that they bring in running styles, and the thought that Barber's style may not hold up for 30 touches in a game. That being said, the way the Cowboys O matches up against the Pats D, I'd imagine you'll see a lot more of MB3 this Sunday than JJ.

Welcome to the boards. Here's to a quality game with no injuries, and we'd love for Romo to throw us a couple of those picks. I'm sure we'll do a little better then the Bungalo Bills did.

I agree that on paper this game should definitely go to the Pats. But take a look at some of the other results we've seen this year in the NFL this seaspn so far. I mean, can it get any more UN-predictable?!

I also agree with what you said concerning the Boys talent level being subpar to the Pats, but wait a second......Coming into Monday Night's game, everybody and their mother would have made the same argument about the Bills being the far-inferior football team, and look what ALMOST happened there! It takes one bad week, or one really great week, or one injury, or one really great or really terrible gameplan to change everything. I think Romo bounces back this week, but still takes one on the chin. Pats 30, Boys 24

Good luck to both teams!

Hey - no fair - we prefer to be the underdogs!

One side story I'm interested in from a Cowboys fan perspective is, why Parcells bowed out when he did.

Seems to me he had a decent team assembled, just beginning to come into its own. It seems odd to me he'd step down when he did... not like him to let someone like TO and his antics force his hand.

Part of me can't help but wonder if Parcells wanted to hold onto what's left of his legacy - I still respect him as a motivator and coach, but looking ahead to a matchup with Belichick and the Patriots, and having a potential loss added to his legacy against a former "pupil" couldn't have been something he relished.

I don't think that's truly the reason why he stepped down, but I can't help but think he wasn't looking forward to that either.

Re: Hey Pats fans.

I'm sorry but i am not putting Dallas in the same category as us, sorry. If Dallas was playing us last night they would have got CREAMED!

I am expecting a NE win, and not by a slim margin.

Here is how i see it, we have the Colts and we have the Patriots...and that is how it is...

JJ was one of BP's "draft gems"-we SHOULD have taken Steven Jackson that year. Jones DID start off well, but he's slowly regressed since. I don't know why-his brother Thomas was an underperformer for years before he broke out in Chicago, so maybe a different atmostphere could do him good?

For the most part, as much as I don't like Jones, the JJ/MB3 duo is working perfectly. Our big OL just wears down D's slowly during the games, and MB3, our power runner, comes in when they START to wear down. So for now, I'm not complaining.

1. Parcells was 0-2 in the playoffs with no NFCE titles(both playoff games were on the road)

2. He DID sign off on TO(don't let the national sports media make you think that Jerry threw this cancer in his lap)-Yes, it WAS Jerry's *idea*, but only THAT-otherwise, him and Stephen asked Parcells repeatedly if he was cool with it.

3. We're good now NOT b/c of him, but IN SPITE of him-we got alot of late round/UDA steals(i.e. Jay Ratliffe, Patrick Crayton, MB3, Tyson Thompson, Marc Columbo, Jason Witten, Bradie James, Keith Davis, etc)-but he DID screw up on alot of our 1st day picks, especially the O-line(i.e. Bobby Carpenter and Julius Jones), which is why we ended up having to splash the FA market more than we should have.

4. He wasn't that great of a coach/motivator either-if he were on the sidelines last night, Romo would have been pulled at half, and Drew Bledsoe would have been signed immediately.

Re: Hey Pats fans.

Welcome all and any quality chatter by all fans.

Having said that, and watching football since I was in grade K:

This is the best all around Patriots squad I've ever seen, especially on offense. You'll have to be at the top of your game to beat us on Sunday.

You know I always wonder the same thing. Julius Jones does'nt seem to have a east to west game, strictly north to south, While marion has the quickness to sidestep and absorb alot of tackles and continue upfield. I have trouble believing though that he could handle the ball for an entire football game and still have the same explosion every play.

I agree with you whole heartedly, as a whole the nfc is just very subpar to the afc. I predict it will take at least 6- 10 years of draft classes to even begin to even out the talent pool. Its always entertaining in the nfc however because you never know whos representing in the superbowl where as in the afc its either the colt or patriots.
