I'm going to the game next week :rocker: and I'm wondering how safe it is to wear Pats gear there. I'm leaning towards not doing it, as I don't feel like having 10 fat, red neck, Texans jump me. I could probably outrun them, but if I did get caught, I would surely be squashed. I'm a quiet, respectful guy, but my fear is that if the Pats win and some hick fan sees my classic Pat Patriot hat, they may try to thrash me. And I don't want to be thrashed or arrested. So for any of you with insider info about the inhabitants of Texas Stadium, I'd appreciate your feedback.

Also would love to get together with any of my fellow Pats fans before the game. If any of you will be tailgating, I will gladly help drink your beer! Let me know when and where you'll be.

(I was going to post this in the "Road Games" section, but no one seems to go or post there. Sorry.)

Just don't wear a T-Shirt that says "The Patriots are the REAL America's Team" and you should survive the 4 hours you are there,They are sensitive about that title :)

Did you go to the Houston game back in 2003? It had to be a fourth of the stadium were Pats fans. Opposing fans usually invade Texas Stadium too for whatever reason (remember seeing all the Steelers and Chiefs fans a few years ago?) I'm not a confrontational person either but I'll be wearing #93.

Cool, sounds good.

Where are your seats? Any pre-game activities that you know about?

Yes, I am VERY excited.

Section 10. Forgot the row but it's up there aways.

I don't know of any pre-game activities unfortunately.

Forget about the gear. Why take a chance of having some drunk redneck go off on you? Just enjoy the game. No one needs to wear gear to be a real fan.

That reminds me back when I lived in the KC area. Me and my old roommate went to a Chefs/Faiders game. My roommate is a huge Faiders fan. He wore his hat and he asked me if I had his back if he was going to get in a scuffle.

I said "Uhmmmmm... NO."

All I wanted to do was see them play.

That rivalry is pretty heated anyways...

So what are you supposed to do when your team scores? Sit there and act like your pissed? This isn't Europe or Oakland... as long as you aren't obnoxious then you're fine. I went to a Packers-Cowboys game back in the 90s and I remember seeing lots of Cheeseheads. I don't remember any fights though. Texans are a pretty laid back bunch and Cowboys fans aren't the type to have a chip on their shoulder.

You shouldn't have any trouble wearing Pats gear in Texas Stadium. Texans are actually really nice people, even if most of them are fat and ******ed (just kidding). Cowboys fans tend to be hardcore, but I've been to dozens of sporting events here rooting against Texas teams and never had a problem.

That's what I had been thinking. Now I'm torn.

Wear the gear. As long as you're not a jerk, you'll be fine. The only places I wouldn't fly the colors would be in Philly, and for a Raiders game in Oakland. Other than that, you should be good to go.

Wear it proudly, I will be....

so you get hazed a little bit.

counting down the time to my flight wooooooooooo

Stop being a *****. I walk around NYC in red sox gear all the time. Same for Jets games decked out in my pats gear.

I guess you haven't gotten the memo: Texas is a friendly state... Wear the jersey and have fun... Dallas is a beautiful city with lots to do if you are staying the weekend.. Texas Stadium is awesome, abeit slightly old, but you can feel the history and tradition the minute you walk in..

( Grew up in Texas and a Cowboy fan, and became a Pat fan in 96 when they played Green Bay in SB because I couldn't stand Green Bay and have been hooked ever since to the Patriots... I watch both teams avidly, and find myself in a predicament this week...)

Holy crap, I'm taking more abuse here than I was afraid I would get in Dallas!

OK, OK, I'll say it loud and I'll say it proud: I'm here, I'm Patjew, get over it!

Thanks for all the friendly advice, you jerks!! LOL

Do you have any Patriot underwear?

I'm sure they'll be more friendly to you if you don't call them "fat, redneck hicks," just like people from Boston are likely to be more friendly if you don't call them "alcoholic, racist Irishmen."
