When are you going to post the proof?

Thats certainly not definitive, especially when you consider the camera angles. I believe it's where the ball is, not the player. 88's right hand is probably hovering over the 25 yard line, and 87 catches the ball right over the 25. Why'd this randomly come up anyway?

Really too close to call - need to post a pic of where his hand was as the ball comes out.

If this was under review, I would put it under the "not enough conclusive evidence to overturn" category.

That was really random. You might get less smart-ass responses in a Bills forum. BTW if you want to call it proof then you might get something that actually shows the ball in it.:)

We're talking about inches. I can't tell from those pictures. One thing is certain: the Bills were completely unprepared for that play. Had he thrown the ball five yards backwards, making it clearly legal, it's still going to be a touchdown.

maybe, but wasn't that before instant replay?
also, maybe if they stopped a ridiculously long kickoff return, they would have won the game.

We still arguing a game that has nothing to do with the Pats that was played in the the 1999 season? I have always wanted to argue whether the immaculate reception was really a completed pass or not. I think I have conclusive proof that the ball bounced off the ground before Harris caught it. Can we get that one going too?

Huh?!

WTF?

The Bill's got screwed when Wade Phillips started Rob Johnson over Doug Flutie. There is no way Flutie gets sacked in the endzone which I believe RJ did.

Oh yeah isn't Wade coaching against the Pats next week?

As I recall from the Troy Brown blocked punt lateral-return against the Steelers in 2002 (AFCG), it does not matter at all where the ball lands. Read the rule book. The ball must be thrown backwards or directly to the side. Troy Brown was running forward fast. He flipped the ball backward. But the ball was caught beyond where he let it go.

Now, you ask, how can a ball thrown backwards travel forward? If you're moving fast enough, it can. Try throwing your cash filled wallet backward out your moving car window (and let me know when you're about to do it). I will be standing a ways up the road from where you throw it.

Troy Brown: 15 MPH.
Ball: 5 MPH in the opposite direction of Troy Brown
Ball Absolte Speed: 10 MPH in the direction of TB.

Now its up for the smarter people to say how much smaller the ball gets because of the theory of relativity.

Depends on your perspective :-D
